ROQ FM lays down Australia's favourite rock albums in their entirety every Monday night at 10.

The next is the debut self-titled studio album for Led Zeppelin.

Released in early 1969, shortly after the band's formation to fullfill contractual touring commitments following the demise of the Yardbirds. The remaining Yardbirds member, guitarist Jimmy Page recruited new members Robert Plant (vocals), John Bonham (drums) and John Paul Jones (bass, keyboards) as the New Yardbirds. Forced to change their name at the completion of the tour they became known as Led Zeppelin (a play on the expression 'lead balloon').

Led Zeppelin I, as it is commonly known, introduced the world to what would become the biggest band of the 1970s. It reached No.1 in Australia and Top 10 in the US and their homeland, the UK, to date selling more than 10 million copies.

The next is the debut studio album for supergroup the Traveling Wilburys 'Vol. 1'.

Released in late 1988, the band featuring George Harrison (Nelson Wilbury), Jeff Lynne (Otis Wilbury), Bob Dylan (Lucky Wilbury), Roy Orbison (Lefty Wilbury) and Tom Petty (Charlie T. Wilbury), enjoyed immediate commercial success and critical acclaim.

Volume 1 reached No.1 in Australia, Top 3 in the US (where it was certified triple platinum) and nominated for the 1990 Grammy Album of the Year.

Released in late 1975, the album seeked to capture the energy of their live performances, after their first three studio albums were commercial failures. The double live album featured selected tracks from those first three studio albums.

Kiss Alive! went Top 10 in the US and Canada and Top 20 in Australia selling close to six-hungred thousand copies worldwide.

The next is the debut studio album for Sheryl Crow 'Tuesday Night Music Club'.

Released in mid 1993, the album gained little attention at first but went on to sell more than 7 million copies and reaching No. 1 in Australia, Top 3 in the US and Top 10 in the UK.

Crow went on to win three Grammy Awards in 1995 for Record of the Year, Best New Artist, and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.

The next is the debut album from Mike Oldfield 'Tubular Bells'.

Released in mid 1973, the album features two lengthy, mostly instrumental tracks. Following initial slow sales, a small piece from the album was featured on the soundtrack to the movie 'The Exorcist' which lifted the profile of both Oldfield and the new record label it launched, Richard Branson's Virgin Records.

Tubular Bells reached No. 1 in the UK and Australia, Top 3 in the US and has sold more than 15 million copies worldwide. It won the 1974 Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Composition, and in 2018 was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
