**Tullibigeal Ladies Firefighters Restoration of Historic Fire Truck**
Tullibigeal, a small town with a tight-knit community, recently celebrated a significant achievement thanks to the dedication of its volunteer women firefighters.
The Tullibigeal Ladies Firefighters, known for their bravery and community spirit, have restored the town’s old fire truck, with the help of grants and some dedicated young professionals which now stands proudly as a symbol of the town’s heritage and resilience.
The historic fire truck, which served the town for decades, had been retired and left in disrepair for years.
However, the women of the fire brigade took on the challenge of restoring the beloved vehicle, organizing fundraisers and spending countless hours on the project with others finding parts from anywhere they could . With the support of local businesses and townsfolk, they worked meticulously to bring the fire truck back to its former glory.
Unveiled in a town ceremony held last weekend, the fire truck is now displayed in the heart of Tullibigeal, near the community hall, where it has become an iconic symbol of the town’s history. The restoration project has been celebrated not only for preserving the town’s legacy but also for showcasing the vital role of women in firefighting and community service when communities need it.
"This fire truck isn’t just an old vehicle; it’s a part of Tullibigeal’s history. Tullibigeal wanted to honour the past while showing how strong their community is today."
The fire truck display is expected to become a popular spot for locals and visitors alike, with the town planning to host annual events around the display to celebrate the firefighters' contributions and highlight Tullibigeal’s community spirit.
