Sorry to bring bad news but we’re sad to report one of our favourite shops, the divine is finishing up after an incredible 38 years on William St. What an amazing presence this beautiful little chocolate shop has been in our neighbourhood over close to four decades. Olivia, who now runs the store, is there today and there’s still time to grab a final supply of chocolates and say goodbye. Such a sad day for Paddington but we wish you and the family well, Olivia 💜💜

A big spring hello to our new edition of Local Paddo. We hope you love the new issue that has begun hitting the streets and cafes today. What a lot of beautiful material we have in this edition. There are stories on some amazing Paddo businesses who have stood the rest of time, and some brilliant new businesses that hope to bring new life to the area. There are gorgeous garden and homes features, an incredible travel pictorial spread by the talented on Capri, because who didn’t wish they were in Capri this winter, the Terrace Detective is back hunting names on Hargrave St, stories on spring health, a refreshed beauty salon worth revisiting, Rituals, the Shot, a super beautiful Paddo Pooch and all our regulars. It’s an action packed spring edition featuring this stunning white terrace on the cover. So much to read and even to win, as we are giving away double passes to the . A beautiful Paddington side street shot by this week for Local Paddo. Strange that June has been the best month in Sydney so far this year, when it’s usually so grey and cold.

And so our winter edition of Local Paddo is out today. We are always excited and nervous about releasing a new issue because we put so much into each one. Hope you love the stories in this issue. We have a new issue out this week but here’s a little mood brightener from our beautiful autumn edition. This terrace, called Norfolk House, has undergone a sympathetic restoration and has become full of light and charm. ‘It had lots of small rooms, tall and narrow openings with traditional proportions,” says Samantha Birtles of design studio . It’s an exciting day when there’s big news in Paddington and there’s big news today. Saint Peter restaurant is moving … and taking up residence at the Grand National hotel. You might have seen the huge works that have been going on at the Grand Nash over the past 3 years. Well it’s almost over, with Niland set to move in with a luxury restaurant, bar and … 14 room hotel that he is managing with his wife Julie. They think it will be ready by Christmas.
