Our last podcast episode of the year is an exciting one! I'm speaking to Sarah Forrai, the Founder and Creator of @contourcube, the world's first ice facial tool. Contour Cube adds mere seconds to your skincare routine and is the answer to lifting skin and de-puffing eye-bags! 🧊⠀
⠀
Sarah and I discuss her viral success on TikTok, how that translates to sales, the company's overall marketing strategies, organic versus paid ads and her experience moving from selling solely online to wholesaling. ⠀
⠀
Sarah also teased some exciting announcements for the future of Contour Cube. We can't wait to watch her business grow from strength to strength!
⠀
I'm sure you're going to love this episode and be totally inspired. I can't wait to hear what you think! 💪
I think that hearing what people learn in business, no matter what type of business they have is really important and valuable 🙌🏼⠀
⠀
This year has been a bit tough for Blossom Media. I've mentioned before that we were really just trying to stay consistent and survive during lockdown a lot last year so I wasn't really focused on growing. I started 2022 wanting to grow but wasn't really sure how.⠀
⠀
Over the past few months I have realised that I want to really grow the agency side of the business, which isn't something I have been focusing much on for the past year.
⠀
We are finishing up the podcast this month to give ourselves a bit of a break until January, so I thought it was a great opportunity to sit down and reflect on 2022 and what I've learnt. It's been tough but I'm happy to walk away with these lessons to head into next year with. I hope you enjoy this episode and can relate to some of my lessons 🥰
How often do you ask your customers for feedback before creating a product? 🤔 ⠀
⠀
One of my favourite examples is from @bonmaxie. Their founder @clarespelta had an idea of creating a neon pink bag, based on her own love of pink. Before getting samples or even starting the process of creating this bag, she hopped on her Instagram Stories and asked her audience outright "Would you like a neon pink bag?". That neon pink bag is now her best-selling bag and she would have never gotten to this point without having asked the question directly to her customers!
⠀
I'm so excited to have Clare on the podcast today where I sit down and pick her brain on her marketing strategies, the benefits of being the face of her brand on socials, how she manages the launch process of her products and much more! I really hope you enjoy this one ❤️
There are so many different social media platforms now, so what ones should you actually use and what campaigns should you be running? 🤯 ⠀
⠀
While I can't tell you exactly what is right for you without knowing more about your business, I can take you through what's needed for an effective organic and paid social media marketing funnel!⠀
⠀
This is a super juicy episode so head to your favourite podcast platform to listen 👏🏼
Are your captions converting your audience into sales? If not, it's such an easy fix and something that everyone can easily improve on 🤩⠀
We know that creative is important to grab someone's attention and stop their scroll, but they will go to the caption next so you need to immediately hook them in to continue reading. If it doesn't take them on a journey, or tell them what to do at the end then you're not going to get anyone to your website and you're not going to make sales!
⠀
Today on eCommerce Brand Builders I'm talking all things creating social media captions that convert. I dive into the anatomy of a caption and explain the difference between a hook and a call to action, my thoughts on short captions vs long-form ones and how you can sell without being salesy.⠀
⠀
If you have a caption that you think could be improved, send it my way! I'd love to show you what is possible because I think it's game changing when you think about your captions in a different way 🎉
It goes without saying that social media has changed a lot in the last 10 years, especially in the eCommerce world 😅⠀
⠀
Not only have the marketing channels changed, with the likes of Facebook, Instagram and TikTok now in existence but the entire landscape of marketing has also changed.⠀
⠀
eCommerce and marketing consultant @oliviajenkins.co has seen a lot in her 10-year career. Today on the podcast I speak to her about her eCommerce journey, her go-to marketing strategies and her tips for how brands can tackle the upcoming promotional periods towards the end of the year.⠀
⠀
She is an expert in her field and I'm so excited for you to hear this chat! 🙌🏼
Have you seen social media marketers sharing content centred around social media 'rules' or things you need to do to keep your business from being left behind?
⠀
Not only is it such boring content to consume, but it's also full of fear-mongering! It can really scare and confuse people who own a business and make them hate social media. Can you relate? 🥲
⠀
If you are doing what you think you have to do, grinding and hustling to post content that doesn't light you up - you will not enjoy social media and your audience will be able to tell.⠀
⠀
In today's solo episode of the podcast, I dive into why these 'rules' don't need to be followed, along with some of my favourite growth strategies that will scale your brand and audience. These are NOT rules, but suggestions for you to pick and choose what sounds good for YOU so that you can really have fun with your social media 🥳⠀
Do it the way you want to do it and you will get the results 🥰
Social media can play a huge role in the growth of your ecommerce business when you decide to just go for it 🙌🏼⠀
⠀
In today's podcast episode I interview the wonderful Anaita from @hero.packaging, and we talk through how she has used social media to build her ecommerce business and keep her community engaged over time. We also touch on the journey to creating her second business @sellanythingonline and how she has utilised TikTok to grow it!⠀
⠀
I posted a hint on my Instagram Stories about who I was interviewing and you all guessed straight away! I'm so excited for you to hear this one, let me know what you think! 🎉
Do you struggle to not follow the crowd when it comes to your social media content? Being creative in your own way online is super important 🤩 ⠀
⠀
When I find a new social media account and browse through to see a boring feed that is just like every other feed in that industry, I won’t follow it. You will probably do the same as a consumer, and so will your potential customers!
⠀
In today's podcast episode I chat about why it's important to be unique on social media and to think outside of the box. I also run through some examples of how you can start thinking of ways to be creative and how to block out the noise of similar brands in your industry 🙌🏼
⠀
I hope this episode sparks some inspiration and I'm excited to see your creative ideas on social media! 🥳
Have you ever participated in a brand collaboration? 🙌🏼⠀
⠀
There are so many ways that you can team up with other businesses! You can collaborate to cross-promote another brand's email list, their social media page or even podcast listenership. Some other ways include a gift with purchase collaboration to drive sales and revenue or even an event collaboration to get press attention. The options are endless!⠀⠀
⠀
@collabosaurus is an awesome marketing platform that match-makes brands for collaborations and partnerships, kind of like Tinder! I spoke to their founder @jessruhfus on the podcast today and we covered all things brand partnerships, their benefits, the biggest mistakes they make and even how Jess has grown her own ecomm brand by using collaborations.⠀
⠀
I'm so excited for you to hear this one 🎉
There is a lot of noise out there on social media, as usual, and a lot of talk about how Facebook Ads don't work as well as they used to 😳⠀
⠀
At the end of 2020 Apple made changes to iOS that affected privacy, which had a huge impact on the way that Facebook could track users and businesses saw their results drop. A lot of people freaked out over this, which I understand, but at Blossom Media we powered on and we have definitely seen things improve over time for our clients.⠀
⠀
One thing this really highlighted is the importance of diversifying your marketing. You shouldn't just rely on your organic social media or your Facebook Ads alone to make your business succeed. Anything could happen to prevent you from being able to utilise these channels so it's important to be present on other channels to avoid losing everything you have built!⠀
⠀
In today's episode of eCommerce Brand Builders I speak more on why I think you should diversify your marketing as an ecommerce business. Listen now on your favourite podcast platform 🙌🏼
Have you thought about launching a subscription box? I have Michelle from @aussiebizchic on the podcast to chat through her amazing launch and marketing strategies 🎉⠀
⠀
4-5 months before she launched the box, she created her Instagram and started to build her community. She shared the entire journey with her audience from choosing the box design, to asking what colours and products they liked along the way - which made it feel like they had a say in creating the box!
⠀
Fast forward to now, her community is as strong as ever. She utilises a private Facebook group to really nurture her audience and hosts masterclasses that align with the theme of each monthly box 👏🏼
⠀
But how did she get here? In the episode we dive deeper into her journey, her marketing ideas and talk about how she's been able to grow her audience to get to a point where she needs to cap her members due to the demand!⠀
⠀
I'm so excited for you to hear this one and learn how to introduce a subscription model for your ecommerce brand 😍
