Throughout May we’re asking you to show your support for the station during Radio Love Month by donating $45 for 45!

Since 1977, RTRFM has been the home of local WA music, arts and culture, promoting, fostering and growing local and independent artists, musicians, performers and businesses around Perth.

During Radio Love Month, we celebrate 45 years of The Sound Alternative in Boorloo and beyond by asking our listeners and community to donate $1 for every year of the station’s history: $45 for 45 years of RTRFM!

Here at RTRFM we thrive on sharing local music, local stories and local voices and we need your support to keep it going for another 45 years.

Every supporter who donates $45 (or more) this Radio Love Month will become a permanent part of RTRFM history by having their name engraved onto a 45” record-shaped honour board, which will be housed at the RTRFM office for the next 45 years (and more).

Mark yourself down in our history while helping keep RTRFM alive for many more years to come.

Introducing your new Monday Drivetime - RTRFM 92.1 hosts: Annika Moses and Doug Swampé!

They'll be driving you home from Monday 10 January 2022. You've likely heard Doug filling in for Taylah on Brekky, or perhaps on The Rounds; Annika is a Difficult Listening presenter and local music fixture.

They'll bring their sparkling rapport and some breezy top-of-the-week tunes to Monday arvos, unearthing lost classics and sharing a diverse range of faves along the way. Hear them in '22!

Want to see what it's like inside?

On 1 and 2 October, RTRFM will swing open the doors to its studios and welcome the public for HOME OPEN, giving listeners an intimate look at how WA's original (and still most cutting edge) FM station operates.

Registrations are now open for FREE half-hour tours of RTRFM, based in the heart of Mount Lawley. Schools and students can come see what it's like to work at a radio station on Friday 1 October, with everyone (and anyone) else invited to visit 'The Sound Alternative' on Saturday 2 October and enjoy live music, sweet treats and the chance to snag some limited edition merch.

PLUS, everyone will get to jump on the mic to record a 'Station ID' (e.g. "I'm Jane from Mount Lawley, and you're listening to RTRFM 92.1!") that'll get played on the station for years to come, and even enjoy the experience of having an interview with an RTRFM presenter recorded in-studio!

We have cracked it with time to spare.

$300,000 over 10 days is just beyond amazing and we thank every single person, dog, cat, plant, toaster and TV aerial who subscribed, donated or volunteered over the last 10 days.
