Tasmanian West Coast Council worker killed in ride-on mower accident at a Zeehan park

A council worker has died in a ride-on mower accident at a park on Tasmania's west coast.

Emergency services were called to the Frank Long Memorial Park in Zeehan on Monday afternoon where the the man in his 30s was found under the mower.

He died at the scene.
The West Coast Council said it was shocked by the death, which is being considered a workplace incident.

"The entire community is in shock over this terrible incident," West Coast mayor Shane Pitt said.
