On this day, two years ago in July 2022, I took the leap into full-time self-employment. However, this was far from the beginning of my journey. Back in 2017, I started a community page called Toowoomba & Darling Downs, dedicated to celebrating people, places, events, food, and businesses.

The page quickly grew, leading to a free community directory and an increasing demand for social media support. That's how KCSMS was born.

Reflecting on these fun adventures, I'm filled with gratitude and excitement because the best is yet to come.

Helping clients achieve their goals is such a buzz.

This client wanted fresh new images to target their specific target market.

I think “we” nailed it.

The chef & kitchen team presented everything perfectly. Every dish cooked with love and plated with precise attention to detail.

Kat from Foodie Shots was on fire capturing the professional hero shots from multiple angles. I love how Kat took the ideas and expanded them to be even better than we hoped!!

I was on hand to make sure the client breif was not just met but exceeded. I also did a lot of behind the scenes images. Mixing professional images and organic images is fun and we have some very clear strategy in how we are going to use these.

Why? …..so they have consistent branding stories across professional images and improntu phone images.

I was at a womens networking event (WOTM) and I listened to the most profound and honest words from Bronwyn Evans from McAdam & Turnbull.

We are not all the same and that’s what makes us just so bloody amazing 😻

Prepare to be inspired by these words, over to you Bronwyn.

‘For those of you that know me well, it comes as no surprise that I am not your most girly girl, feminine lady.

I do understand the importance of women supporting other women in networking, in business, and in personal life. And I have to say, I have been extremely blessed. Because growing up, my mum and dad worked together in partnership in small business, and they were real partners. It never occurred to me that it should be any different.

I'm very blessed that I grew up surrounded by strong women, and I married into a family with very strong women. But overarching all of that, I was surrounded by very gentle men.

Very blessed. I know that's not everybody's experience. So I'm gonna run pretty dead in a conversation about fingernails and hairstyles and things like that, but the contribution that I feel I can make towards supporting other women is to remind them of that value and that respect that they should have for themselves and actually model that behavior.

By respecting and valuing yourself, you can model that as the way you expect to be treated, the way you deserve to be treated, valued, and respected, and in return, bolster other women.

That's what I feel my contribution to women networking can be.’
