On this week’s Convo, hear Emeritus Professor Madeleine King, a world expert in Quality of Life measurement, in conversation with David Tunnicliffe.

Quality of life is defined by the World Health Organization as "an individual's perception of their position in life in the context of the culture and value systems in which they live and in relation to their goals, expectations, standards and concerns”. Whilst it is often used to help in cases on terminal illness, listen to Madeleine and David explore how we can all learn from thinking about the factors that contribute to living a satisfying life.

Madeleine King is not your average professor. A long time Shire resident and a true renaissance woman, she is the living embodiment of how following your passion, rather than the obvious career paths, can lead to a life well lived. Be inspired by Professor King’s personal journey, which has been anything but traditionally academic.
