Heyyyyyy! Come and join me for a reading of one of the many short plays you can purchase from our website… We feature a different short play each reading. These plays run for anywhere between 10 & 20 minutes and are great for performers new to theatre and small productions alike.
So, like a podcast, press play and go about your day. And while you’re doing that; I’ll give you the rundown on one of our great plays and read the entire script for you. I guess you could say that our storyboards are kind of like the text version of a movie-trailer. They’re a preview of what your stage production could look like and they’ll give you more insight than a script synopsis. This week’s storyboard is predominantly a comedy and is based on a play written by Ryan Armstrong. It’s about neighbours, pesky squirrels, old busy-bodies, wanna-be reporters and nefarious criminals… All wanting to find out what’s inside an ex-mobsters basement. After many frustrations and disappointments, the Stage-Write Plays website has FINALLY gone live! Really truly :)

For those of you who have not yet heard about Stage-Write Plays, we are a new online publisher and we showcase only ORIGINAL stage-plays and musicals – All Genre’s and all durations. Stage-Write Plays offers an exclusive publishing agreement and pays royalties on all sales and performances of accepted scripts.

As previously advised and due to time constraints; I am accepting ALL submitted plays (within reason) and will be adding scripts daily to the website until such time as there is a great selection of scripts for customers to choose from. Once there are enough scripts to offer variety, and as allowed for within the SWP Publishing Agreement, I will be removing those plays that have not met minimum purchases over a 12 month period (I.e. They will be deemed “Out of Print”).

This will ensure that the Stage-Write Plays website will move forward with a variety of quality plays for customers to choose from. On the upside for writers; this will give your play a guaranteed minimum of 12 months online publishing.

So, if you have a script you would like to see published online - and are happy to let the customer decide whether it’s good enough - please submit a pdf version of your script to [email protected]

Thank you all for hanging in there! Who’d have thought creating a professional looking website would be so involved :) I know I have said this before; but we are getting very close to going live with our website. As I am still working full-time at present and am attending to the website requirements at night and on the weekends; it is taking longer than I would like to read submitted scripts and edit your accepted scripts. But please know that, if you have submitted a script, I will get back to you just as soon as I can. As this website is being created from the ground up; I am looking to read and accept as many scripts as possible prior to going live. So, if you haven’t yet submitted a script for consideration; I urge you to please do so… I am reviewing each and every script sent to me. I am more than happy to email you an introduction to the website, so that you can see for yourself what the intended end result will be. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch. So long as your script is within the following guidelines, it will be considered for publishing.

The writer must ensure and declare that the Works supplied…

(a) are original Works and/or illustrative materials by the Writer. If illustrative materials are produced by a person other than the writer, then the Writer shall provide a legally binding written assignment of the copyright for the Illustrative Materials.

(b) are not, to the best of the Writer’s knowledge, defamatory of any person

(c) will not, to the best of the Writer’s knowledge, invade or infringe the privacy of any person; and

(d) will not, to the best of the Writer’s knowledge, infringe on any other intellectual or personal right of any person

In respect of any matter arising that is in breach of these guidelines and affecting the Publisher and/or the Writer; the applicable law shall be that of the State of Queensland, Australia.

Stage-Write Plays © 2020 is looking for ORIGINAL plays and musicals in all genre’s (including educational) and all performance durations (from 10 minutes to full productions). If you have a script you would like Stage-Write Plays to consider, please email a copy of your manuscript to [email protected] in pdf format. If your play is accepted for publishing, I will forward you a copy of our publishing agreement for your perusal and acceptance.

Stage-Write Plays is a new website that will be up and running very soon and will bring original playwright scripts direct to the public worldwide (schools, theatre restaurants, drama clubs, community theatre groups, etc). I am looking for stage plays and musicals to publish online NOW - in ALL genres! I am seeking 1 act plays, 2 act plays, full productions, primary school plays, secondary school plays, etc. Stage-Write Plays will pay all royalties due to the Author every six (6) months based on gross sales. If you have a script you would like us to consider, please emaiI a draft copy of your manuscript to [email protected] in pdf format. If your play is accepted for publishing, I will forward you a copy of the Stage-Write Plays “Agreement to Publish” for your perusal and acceptance.
