Molly was the brainchild behind ABC TV’s Countdown music program (1974-’87) and a regular guest on the long running Hey Hey It’s Saturday program. He produced six No 1 hit singles including Russell Morris’ hit The Real Thing and The Ferrets’ Don’t Fall In Love.

In 2014 he was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame, together with the TV show, Countdown, he became the first non-artist to receive the accolade.
