We are deeply saddened to hear of Anna Tarrant's passing. A member of our Mosman Living Facebook group for nearly 10 years, she was a popular and committed member of the local community. So many of you were moved by the story of her long battle with cancer, which she shared with us frequently over the years. And many of you very generously supported her needs as her illness progressed. Her most recent post with us was on December 15 - we share it here verbatim (please kindly ignore any errors in the knowledge that they were written by someone navigating serious illness). Anna will be truly missed by all of us 💞

"Hello beautiful mosman community

It is with great sadness that the Loreto Kirribilli Ex Students shares that Anna Tarrant (class of 2001) has lost her battle with brain cancer. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday 20th January at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church - 23 Cardinal Street, Mosman NSW 2088.

The family have requested attendees wear a some colour to celebrate Anna’s vibrant spirit and personality.

A wake will follow at The Fernery in Mosman (time to be confirmed) and all are welcome to join us to remember and celebrate Anna’s life.

There will also be a video link provided if you are unable to attend in person but would like to attend online.

Anna was truly one of a kind. She embodied the spirit of LK and the IBVM throughout her time at Loreto and in her life in general.
Our thoughts are with her family and friends, especially the class of 2001 as they mourn her loss.

Please feel free to share a special memory of Anna in the comments.

Messina Gelato Confirmed For Crows Nest! 🍧🍧🍧

The rumours are true…

Legendary ice cream makers Messina have confirmed they’ll be opening in Crows Nest this year at 58 Willoughby Rd.

“Happy to confirm it's happening but it's in it's VERY early stages, we haven't started the build yet.” It should swing open its doors mid year.

The North Shore is looking that much sweeter for next summer!

BIG things happening at Cremorne Town Centre

If you’ve noticed a bit of noise or activity lately, it’s because Cremorne Town Centre is getting a much-needed refresh — and it’s going to look so good.

Think new tiles, fresh ceilings and a brighter, more modern feel, all while keeping the charm us locals know and love.

The good news: Supamart, Minskys, the Pharmacy and Medical Centre are open as usual! All other retailers are set to reopen from Monday 12 January. Everything remains safe and accessible during works.

It’s always exciting to see local spaces being invested in, and this one’s shaping up to be a real glow-up for the community. Definitely one to pop past and check out as it comes together (image is concept only).
