I’ve had a LOT of conversations with business owners today about our Ai Concierge.

My favourite objection so far?

“Oh, but nobody can quote like I do.”

Okay. Fair.
But why are we jumping straight to getting Ai to quote exactly like you?

What happens BEFORE the quote?

The missed call while you’re on a job.
The “how much?” message at 8pm.
Finding out what they actually need. Getting their suburb, measurements, photos, timeframe, budget. Following up when they disappear.

Does all of THAT really need you?

💕💕 “We can’t, our families don’t know we’re seeing each other yet.’

That’s what a couple told us recently when we asked customers at Vine&Grind Liverpool if they wanted to be in our video. (We were asking people to bite chicken tenders covered in their delicious mushroom sauce 🤤 … ok I digress…. off a metal arm.)

Here’s why we still do stuff like this: it’s not really about the video. It’s about the reaction. That half-second where someone hesitates, laughs, or goes “wait, what” ➡️ that’s the part people actually respond to. You can’t script that, and people can tell.

Our brains are wired to filter out anything that feels produced. But a real reaction slips right past that filter, because it doesn’t look like anyone’s trying to sell you something.

And once someone believes what they’re seeing is real, they stop watching from a distance and start wanting to be part of it. That’s the shift. Not the final video …. the moment it was made from.

Remember that dodgy walking pad I bought off Facebook Marketplace?

The one everyone questioned… including me.

Well, here it is. And I’d say I’ve definitely got my money’s worth.

One thing I’ve learnt running this business is that I’m always happy to test an idea. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it completely flops. But I’d rather be the business trying something different than the one making the same content as everyone else.

Standing out usually starts with someone looking a little bit crazy first. 🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️

So here’s the finished setup that we did for Marlo’s All Day

July so far…

The new financial year has kicked off exactly how we like it. Busy, unpredictable and definitely not boring.

One of the things I love most about this job is that no two days ever look the same.

The first half of the month is usually back-to-back shoots. Early starts, late finishes, multiple locations and plenty of coffee. Then the second half shifts into editing, strategy, analytics, client check-ins and planning what’s next.

Even with a content calendar mapped out, things change constantly. Businesses evolve, opportunities pop up, trends move, priorities shift. That’s just the reality of running a business, so we’ve learnt to roll with it.

One shoot this month was meant to take three or four hours. We wrapped up almost six hours later. Was it planned? Not at all. Was it worth it? Every minute.

That’s the part I genuinely love. Every business has a different story, a different challenge and a different way of connecting with people. We just get to help bring that to life through content.
