I am far from perfect but I am trying. I am making a huge effort as the one in charge of my family’s diet to learn everything I can to help my children and all of us thrive and avoid disease and illness I feel like it is potentially my biggest and most impactful role as their mother to protect them from the poisonous food being marketed to us every where we look. I feel very grateful to live in a town like Byron Bay that has a very “crunchy” culture. I say all the time it is the first time I’ve lived in a place where you actually have to go out of your way to find junk food. When everywhere else I’ve ever lived you have to go out of your way to be healthy… I am consistently doing the work and the research to unlearn everything I believed about nutrition growing up in American adjacent culture. And slowly rewiring my brain and body to work properly again. Finding out you’re infertile at age 31 when you’re a “healthy” young woman will open up your eyes real quick. And if you’re invested in your health like I am, it will make you start asking questions. And those will lead to even more questions which brings me here. This post isn’t to shame anyone at all!
