VOICE ACTORS WANTED: Voluntary

IPL Radio has openings for voice actors and radio presenters, regardless of experience.

IPL Radio is an all inclusive community access radio station located in Rockingham. We are looking for voice actors, or people who wish to try voice acting, to act in radio dramas.

We are also seeking co hosts and presenters for regular shows.

IPL Radio formed four years ago, during the Covid 19 pandemic, in order to strengthen mental health awareness. Almost immediately the radio station attracted various other radio shows, such as community event shows, pop culture, rock 'n roll shows, shows about the local theatre scene, youth focused shows, local music scene shows, and much more.

So, join our family of volunteers and present your own radio show, or join an existing show as a co-host.

If being the center of attention isn't for you, then we also have openings for behind the scenes volunteers, from researching and programming shows, to camera and audio, to producing.

Are you a MONTY PYTHON fan? Love a good argument? Nudge Nudge? This show is for you.
Community Radio Station IPL RADIO is presenting a community stage production, COCONUT SOUP, which will consist of some of the funniest comedy sketches and routines ever, as well as some original sketches.

Acting experience is not a requirement. The directors are also acting coaches, with decades of experience. So, regardless of your acting experience come and have some fun.

Next Thursday, 18th April, award winning screenwriter/director Matthew Holmes (Twin Rivers, The Legend of Ben Hall, The Cost) will be our special guest on That's Entertainment at 12.30pm Perth time as he tells us about his career so far, and more.

Matthew Holmes is one of the biggest independent filmmakers in Australia.

We had some great actors attend the first round of auditions for IPL Radio's first Comedy Review Variety Stage Show, however we still have at least five roles to fill so we are holding a second round of auditions on Saturday 20th April at 4pm in Rockingham.

Cast would be 15 years or over, male or female.

We are also seeking variety acts such as magicians, comedians, ventriloquists, singers/musicians, dance schools, etc to also take part.

We will also require stage hands and a stage manager.

Actors of any experience are welcome, from beginners to highly seasoned actors.

Next Thursday, 28th March, IPL Radio's That's Entertainment's Brenton and Sheryl will be interviewing Mohammed Hashem, multi-award winning Australian-Egyptian director, about his upcoming stage production Gallipoli: A Story Untold.
