Soul in the City is a Northern Soul club that has been running for 17 years with quarterly events at the Polish Club in Brisbane. Thanks to all who came along to Boogie Nights on Saturday night, it was an excellent night with around 160 in and a real pleasure to have so many happy people having fun and dancing to 70's Disco sounds. Thank you to my DJ partner the fantastic Sam Ward for all she did to host this event and for all the great records and energy she brought to the night. Thanks to anyone who helped with the load out at the end of the night, it's never fun but the extra help really helps. Final thanks to our hosts at the club, Eliza, Stan, Rysiek, John, Evelyn and all who work on the night and behind the scenes to make our night possible. I'm waiting for the event payout but it looks like we have raised around $1400 for the club which is an excellent result and will no doubt be put to good use.
I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year.

Thanks to all who came along on Saturday night, after a slow start it turned into a great night with around 100 in the door which is a brilliant turn out for our night, your support is nothing short of fantastic. Thank you to my fellow DJ's John Phillips, Brian Williams and Steve Griffin. these three could grace the decks of any soul night worldwide such is the quality and rarity of their respective collections, we are truly lucky to have them here in QLD. Thanks to Nadia, Cherie and all who kept them company at the door br=eing the friendly first greeters and thanks to anyone who helped with the load out at the end of the night, it's never fun but the extra help really helps. Final thanks to our hosts at the club, Eliza, Stan, Rysiek and all who work on the night and behind the scenes to make our night possible. We're back next week for our disco night "Boogie Nights" tickets are still available. Failing that we'll be back for Soul In The City in April for our anniversary All Dayer weekend, we've already sold a few tickets for this and after Saturday night I have high hopes that it's going to be a weekend to remember.

Tonight's the night!
Please note the following important information
* It's located at the Polish Club 10 Marie Street Milton in the downstairs room.
* Kick off is at 7.00pm, please don’t get there prior to 6.45pm as we’ll still be sound checking.
* If you have purchased a ticket or contacted me directly your name will be on the door list, there’s no need to bring a printed copy.
* If you want to eat beforehand the Polish Club restaurant is open on Saturday nights but booking is essential. There are also plenty of places to eat or drink on Park Road beforehand.
* There is onsite and street parking available for those designated drivers
* Under 30's are free, just let us know at the door, you are very welcome.
* For those who missed the ticket cut off, you can pay on the door, please bring the exact money as we don't run a float. Tickets on the door are $10 each.

Anyone who knows of Wigan Casino, Blackpool Mecca, The Twisted Wheel, Allnighters, Alldayers, Weekenders will be pleasantly surprised to discover the music is still alive and that the crowd are still as enthusiastic as ever. Soul in the City is a Northern Soul club that has been running for 14 years with events every 3 months at the Polish Club in Brisbane. We play a range of soul music including Northern Soul, Modern Soul and Motown, all of our music is played from vinyl 45’s. Anyone who has a love of soul, Motown and dancing will enjoy our friendly atmosphere. All newcomers are encouraged to attend and will be made to feel welcome.
