Soul in the City is a Northern Soul club that has been running for 17 years with quarterly events at the Polish Club in Brisbane. We play a broad range of soul music including Northern Soul, Modern Soul and Motown from original vinyl. Anyone who has a love of Soul and dancing will enjoy our friendly atmosphere. Soul In The City is hosting the 27th Australian National Northern Soul Weekender on the 13th, 14th and 15th November 2026.

It has come to our attention that there is a major sporting event on in Brisbane that weekend. We advise any interstate or overseas travellers intending to come to Brisbane to look at flights and accommodation as soon as possible as there may be a spike in demand for rooms and flights.

We have locked in the Polish Club at Milton as our Saturday venue and intend to book the remaining two venues (TBA) within a reasonable travel radius of that. So if you’re looking you can consider hotels, apartments and Air BnB’s in Milton, Auchenflower, Roma Street, South Bank, West End, Brisbane CBD, Toowong, all are within a short Uber or Ferry Ride from the Polish Club.

If you’re quick and fortunate, you may be able to book the Central Cosmo Apartments on Park Road or the Milton Hotel on Railway Terrace which are both walking distance to the Polish Club.

We hope to have the event page up and running in the next few weeks, from that point all event information will be posted there and cross posted to the Northern Soul In Oz page.

Anyone who knows of Wigan Casino, Blackpool Mecca, The Twisted Wheel, Allnighters, Alldayers, Weekenders will be pleasantly surprised to discover the music is still alive and that the crowd are still as enthusiastic as ever. Soul in the City is a Northern Soul club that has been running for 14 years with events every 3 months at the Polish Club in Brisbane. We play a range of soul music including Northern Soul, Modern Soul and Motown, all of our music is played from vinyl 45’s. Anyone who has a love of soul, Motown and dancing will enjoy our friendly atmosphere. All newcomers are encouraged to attend and will be made to feel welcome.
