The new year, to them, is a bitter reminder of what was loved, cherished and lost, and starting afresh sounds like a dream that will never ever come true.

In this intricate dance of life, the beauty lies in the acknowledgment of seasons—some brimming with joy, others clouded by sorrow. Seasons come, and seasons go, but what remains is the resilience we summon in response to life's twists and turns.

To those immersed in the celebration, I urge you—celebrate with passion! Revel in the new opportunities, embrace the challenges, and let the zest for life fuel your journey.💃🏼

To those grappling with loss, struggling to let go, and feeling the weight of sorrow, I say, hang in there. I see you, and I acknowledge the profound pain that accompanies loss and farewells 🫂. But, remember, even the darkest night gives way to dawn. This too shall pass. You may be under but it’s not over. You may be pressed down but you are not crushed.

Life, in its grandeur, is an ever-evolving story. What truly matters is not the season we find ourselves in, but how we navigate it. Resilience is born in the crucible of challenge, and hope is the beacon that guides us through the darkest nights.

🌍✨ Reflecting on 20 Years: A Journey of Gratitude ✨🌍

Today marks two incredible decades since I bid farewell to my beloved Zimbabwe. As I take a stroll down memory lane, my heart is a mosaic of emotions—filled with a poignant longing for the place I once called home, yet profoundly grateful for the journey that led me elsewhere.

At 40, it's surreal to realise that half of my life has been woven into the fabric of lands beyond my birthplace. The decision to leave was rooted in economic necessity, and the path led me to the welcoming embrace of New Zealand and Australia. These countries have been more than just locations; they've been chapters in a story of growth, resilience, and unforeseen opportunities.

Yet, amidst the success and adaptation, there's an ongoing dance—a delicate attempt to balance and reconcile the essence of two worlds. It's a struggle shared by many who find themselves straddling the line between roots and the pursuit of new horizons.

The grounding force of my upbringing in Zimbabwe, steeped in the profound ubuntu philosophy, is a beacon that I carry with me. It's the compass guiding my steps, a reminder of the interconnectedness that defines our shared humanity.

Economic reasons initiated my journey, but the richness of experience, the tapestry of cultures, and the friendships forged along the way have made this odyssey worth every twist and turn. Today, I stand at the confluence of past and present, eternally thankful for the diverse tapestry of experiences that has shaped me.

Gratitude abounds for the dual inheritance of wisdom—from the rich red soil of Zimbabwe to the sun-kissed landscapes Down Under. Cherishing the past, embracing the present, and stepping into the future with the spirit of ubuntu and hope as my guiding light. 🌟🌿
