Visited Ate Rhiz today at work with Lola KC and Lolo Ba.
Ate Rhiz is my niece , look how grown up she is now. 😊 Looking back when I first came here in Australia, she was only four (now she is 15) she made us (me and my husband) lessened our "homesickness".
She will always come to our room and have a chat about life as a kid, she loves to talk when she was little and more even loves to write love letters for us (more to her Tito Michael) appreciating our little time togetherness like doing stuff with her, playing in the park, making snacks etc.

We are so proud of what she is becoming as a person, she matured a lot, so responsible one. And she is still one of sweetest gentle cousin of my kids now.

With her uniform on , we decided to visit her Sat am shift. My kids always wanting to see her working and on uniform 😁 we dont usually go to Mccas , this is always a treat for them 😊 so its a plus . Anyways, back to Ate Rhiz, she started working in Mccas (Mcdonalds) when she was legally can work 😁, now she works in weekends during school term and mostly full time during school holidays 🤑 (kidding aside). If she got free days , we love catching up with her, personally I love my kids getting excited to see them or visit them. Plus, I will always love your giggles whenever I throw jokes or teases someone in the fam, ( she is a fan of me 🤣) my jokes and pranks are very mabenta to her.

Well our dearest Ate Rhiz, we always pray that you will continue to bless others with your kindness and all of your goals to fulfill, the one is aiming to be an orthodontics and owning a clinic someday, hiring me or be partners 😁.

We’re one pump closer to our Safety Bay pump and jump track. 🚴‍♀️

Thanks to all the local young riders who gave us their time at a workshop in Safety Bay earlier this month where we brainstormed the concept design for the track. The consultants are now considering the feedback and finalising the track design.

The design presented to the group contained five jumps and the option to either pump or jump your way around the whole track.

The design is due to be finished late next month with construction starting after Easter. We should be riding the track by the end of June. 👌

Development, Communications and the Arts via the Local Roads and Community

Handasyde's Cafe in Albany
They have fresh strawberries and other amazing strawberry products even strawberry chips !
Very nice gelato, cakes , coffee and light lunches. Cool place for a stop over or for a good visit. The kids will enjoy their farm animals and playground for sure. Huge parking space too.

The Gap and Natural Bridge
Torndirrup National Park

It offers 40 m platform look out deck to see this amazing granite rock formation in Great Southern Ocean.
This is a part of the huge national park and always worth the visit because of its fantastic view and how it is created.
Still can be very windy even summer as you are facing the ocean, so bring a cardi or jumpers.

Now that the Nunez kids are growing up, they are fascinated, and will always know what is the story behind all those places. Ate Carra loves to read about the facts and descriptions of this amazing wonders. They got surprised when they read that it stretches all the way to Antartica 😁 . 🇦🇺 🌳🌲

Visit York, the oldest township in Avon Valley; Wave Rock and Hippo’s Yawn, unusual rock formations; Mulka's Cave, an ancient site sacred to Aboriginals; and make a stop for tea in a quaint country town. Two important things here:

1. If your children are completely unaccustomed to it, yes, this is a difficult transition. And then that transition lays the groundwork for being able to create a whole new family normal, so it’s worth it.

2. If your children aren’t completely unaccustomed to it, then a child’s default speed is already very slow, so they will very likely welcome you stepping into their world’s pace. ❤️
