The flexibility of an online business is incredible, especially when balancing the demands of being a mom. It allows you to be creative and build something that’s truly yours while still being present for your kids. You can pick it up and put it down as needed—when they’re sick, on rough days, or just when you need a break. There’s freedom in knowing that you don’t have to choose between being a business owner and an amazing mum; you can do both on your own terms. This week has brought all the feels, with challenges that demanded I face them head-on. It was definitely tough, but I made it through, emerging stronger and more aware. I’ve learned valuable skills that help me navigate through difficult emotions and situations. It’s not about forgetting the past; it’s about acknowledging my experiences and learning to let go of what no longer serves me. Each struggle has become a stepping stone toward growth, reminding me that healing is a journey filled with lessons. I’m grateful for the resilience I’ve discovered within myself and for the clarity that comes from embracing change.

Taking the kids out on the SUP is such a simple joy. I can’t believe I managed to do it on my own today—the kids were amazing! Seth didn’t even want to get off when the wind started picking up. I’m so glad we’re finally at a stage where I can do this with the boys and not feel overwhelmed by the end of it. Seth’s growing up, not our little buba anymore, and I’m loving the new stages the kids are in.

For all the mums still in the thick of it—the sleepless nights (trust me, we still get those), the 5am wake-ups, doing everything for those little hands—it does get easier. It just takes time, and the seasons do change. You’ve got this, Mumma!

First Day Away – Josh hasn’t been away for work in a while, and I don’t have a problem being on my own until it’s time for bed. I’m one of those people who overthinks every scenario and will just stay awake checking on the kids 😂. It seems dramatic, and once upon a time, I was so used to it. About 8 years ago, Josh used to be away for 6-8 weeks at a time, come home for 2-3 nights, and be gone again. It’s funny how we get so used to being in a routine. I’d love to wake the kids up for snuggles, but Ace is a terrible sleeper, and it’s just not worth it.

Josh and I are always striving for more—not just in terms of money, but more importantly, for more time. Time to connect, to explore, and to enjoy life together as a family.

Don’t get me wrong—money is great and necessary for stability, but the time we spend with our kids is irreplaceable. I feel incredibly lucky that Josh has worked so hard to allow me to stay home with our children. Yet, how amazing would it be for him to be home too?

A key aspect of wanting more is keeping those dreams alive and recognizing that they can become a reality. We’ve seen countless people in this business achieve the same dream of being able to stay home with their kids every day. Why wouldn’t you want to give that dream a shot?

Our First Ever Photo Together… A Little About Us

We met when we were just 17. Josh always knew I was “The One,” but it took a little convincing on my part. Now, 15 years later, I can’t imagine life with anyone else!

I never wanted kids, and then there were two! And I worship the grounds those kids walk on 😂

Josh used to hate the beach—he disliked the sand and hated wet feet. Now, it’s practically our second home, and our house often looks like a sand pit!

I never thought I’d be a stay-at-home mum, especially after Josh convinced me to have kids. But here I am, staying at home and homeschooling our beautiful boys.

Josh is a way better housewife than I am!

Josh unofficially proposed to me at least 30 times in the 8 years before he actually proposed—he used to ask my dad for my hand every time he was drunk!

When we first moved in together, I made Josh eat spaghetti and sausage curry every night for a year because that was my favorite!

Two Years of Missing You, Dad
 
It’s hard to believe it’s been two years since you left us. Grief is a wild ride I never expected. It doesn’t follow any rules, and there’s no quick fix or steps to follow—which really doesn’t work for me. Some days, I find myself laughing at a memory, while other days feel hard. The new memories we’re making with your grandkids sometimes make me sad instead of happy. It’s been a journey, and I know that as each day passes since you left, it will remain an ongoing journey to navigate.
 
To anyone else going through their own grief, know it’s okay to need help. Every wave you ride is part of your journey. We carry our loved ones with us always, and while the pain may come in ups and downs the love stays strong. Missing you always, Dad. ❤️

Embracing Personal Growth: Our Journey
 
Over the past few years, Josh and I have committed ourselves to personal growth, diving deep into understanding our triggers and responses to life’s challenges. It’s fascinating how embarking on this journey can unveil unexpected layers of our emotions and behaviours. Or in our case learning how many emotions there actually far!
 
We’ve explored various tools along the way, mindfulness practices, journaling, energy healing and reading. Each tool has equipped us with the skills to navigate life’s ups and downs more gracefully. The more we invest in our growth, the more we discover about ourselves and each other.
What’s been most rewarding is sharing this journey together. We’ve built a stronger bond by supporting each other in our individual growth while celebrating our shared experiences.

⭐️ It’s been a hot minute since Josh and I have been active in the online space. We needed some time to grow, work on ourselves, and also grieve some beautiful loved ones we lost. Aces first day of sailing was yesterday, and while it was such a proud moment, it felt bittersweet with Josh having to work. Watching him out there, navigating the water for the first time, was so exciting he also did his first 50m swim from the jetty which was awesome. Here’s to new adventures and jumping out of our comfort zones together 🥰
