We joined this affiliate marketing business roughly four years ago, and during that time, we have learned so much about ourselves. Alongside this business, we also run a successful flooring business and have done so for seven years. We have definitely had our ups and downs, as all businesses do, but over the last year, we have managed to find more family time while working for ourselves, which we love.
We currently have settled on a FIFO-style roster, but Josh still gets to spend most nights at home. In turn, we get roughly a week of solid family time after he does his 8-10 days of work.
Obviously, having a second income will allow us to cut those workdays back. It’s all about finding the right balance between work and family life.
After joining this new business venture four years ago, we’ve discovered so much about ourselves and what truly matters. It’s been an incredible journey, and we’re grateful for the growth it has brought us.
As we look to the future, we see the potential to adjust our schedules further by leveraging the additional income from the online space. Our goal is to gradually reduce those workdays from 10 to 5, giving us even more quality time together. It’s all about creating a life where work supports our family values rather than detracts from them.
