Thousands of local residents packed Sculpture Park this morning for the rally. This year marks 32 years since the campaign first commenced to stop urbanisation at the fire trap North Stoneville site.

NEW AUSTRALIAN FIRE DANGER RATING SYSTEM...
From today, September 1, 2022, the former Fire Danger Rating system (which has been in place for more than 60 years) will be changing to a new Australian Fire Danger Rating System (AFDRS) backed up by a new Fire Behaviour Index (FBI).
From today all the old FDRS signage around the Shire will be changed to reflect the new AFDRS.

11 local youth from around the Shire of Mundaring attended the project launch of the (Millennium Kids Inc) Agents of Climate Change, Mundaring, a few weeks ago. The event was held at the Boya Community Centre, with the support of the Shire of Mundaring.

COMMUNITY COVERAGE - Stoneville Community Garden Busy Bee
Today seven local residents (including two Shire councillors) attended the Stoneville Community Garden - SCG Busy Bee. The SCG is a Stoneville & Parkerville Progress Association Inc (SPPA) initiative.
Located in part of the old grounds of the Stoneville Playgroup, this morning residents moved and stacked pavers sourced from the old Fire Station opposite the site.
