I’ve been shocked at the amount of people I thought were friends who have tried to take advantage of my recent success, it’s really sad and made me doubt the usual unwavering trust I have in people. 🥹

Most people are good and I need to try to remember that!

London: I am in paradise. Even when the skies are gray nothing can dampen your spirit. Your streets are always buzzing with life, not the frantic energy of NYC but the hum of people living in a city with more modern history than my own country has in its lifetime.

A city filled with people from all over the world and for many of us it means as much to us as it does to those that were born here. You don’t have to be born in London to love it and I thank everyone that was born here and everyone that came here for making it the city it is today. It might not be perfect but it is ours.

Though I’m often off exploring new places, I always find my way back to you. You’re my steady base, the place I come home to when I need that blend of comfort and chaos.

The weather might not always be perfect, but there’s a certain magic to be found, in the misty morning fog, in the endless days of mizzle, on the days where the wind is so cold it aches in your spine, it’s a magic that somehow brings warmth to me on days when my body has been besieged by the miserable weather of this tiny but significant island.

I can’t quite explain it but luckily London made Ray Davies who can explain a love for London far better than I ever could so I’ll let him do the talking…

I have to say British people were always telling me…..”go to lanzarote it’s mint” well I have been now haha and I agree it’s a super chill place!

Much sandier and dustier than I expected but the volcanic rock and landscape is amazing! It’s baron hahaha but it’s beautiful & the British food in Spain hahah yes please. 😅

Also why do some British people call it Lanzagrotty??

Are you a collector or a minimalist?!

I am a collector….whether it’s little trinkets, pop marts…when I see it, we buy it 🤣

We also collect things for other people my SIL bought a giant gnome from Asda once.

Big mistake…

We now buy gnomes from around the world for their house. We once filled their bedroom with 200 gnomes, they didn’t even gnome what was going on . We want to make their house the Gnomesville of the UK, they have not agreed to this but it is a work in progress anyway! Haha.

I’ll stop chatting now as I’ve got work to do, on the job I have that isn’t real.

This day there was a big storm brewing, and if there’s anything better than sunsets before a storm, I have yet to find it.

I can just imagine our ancestors, gazing up at the sky, feeling so small and out of control. The beauty of the sunset followed by the ferocity of the storm must have been a terrifying and confusing experience.

Such beauty, followed by such wrath… probably the most amazing thing ever.

Except maybe cheese fondue.

Oh… yeah… hmmm… that’s annoying… I think cheese fondue tops it! 😆
