COVID-19 UPDATE: Casino has joined Kyogle in lockdown and will be under stay-at-home orders until October 11.
The stay-at-home order will come in at midnight and also applies to anyone who has been in Casino since September 24.

COVID-19 UPDATE: Kyogle will go into lockdown at midnight after a spate of exposure sites were listed 24 hours ago.

Three cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in residents of the Northern NSW Local Health District to 8pm Wednesday night.
These cases, reported yesterday, are in the Kyogle area, and all are linked to the existing case in Kyogle.
Contact tracing and investigations are currently under way, and information about any new public exposure venues will be provided as soon as possible.
To 8pm yesterday, there have been seven locally-acquired cases of COVID-19 reported in the Northern NSW Local Health District since the current NSW outbreak began on June 16.
Sewage surveillance has detected fragments of the COVID-19 virus in samples taken from the Banora Point and Byron Bay sewage treatment plants on September 28.
This is the first detection in Banora Point, and the last previous detection in Byron Bay was on September 16.
The Banora Point site serves around 48,000 people in the Tweed Heads, Tweed Heads South and West, Banora Point, Terranora and Bilambil Heights areas.
There have been confirmed cases active in the Tweed and Byron regions recently, and we continue to encourage residents and visitors to be vigilant for symptoms and get tested as soon as they feel unwell.

If you are directed to get tested for COVID-19 or self-isolate at any time, you must follow the rules given to you by Health staff, whether or not the venue or exposure setting is listed on the NSW Health website.
COVID-19 update: A further case has been confirmed in the Kyogle area after 8pm last night.
This person is a close contact of the first Kyogle case and will be included in tomorrow’s NSW Health numbers.
It has also been confirmed that a Queensland-based truck driver who transited through NSW has tested positive for COVID-19.
This case was infectious in the community on 27 and 28 September, and visited venues in Tweed Heads, Byron Bay and Ballina, as well as other sites outside Northern NSW.
Investigations into this case are underway, and information about public exposure venues will be provided as soon as possible.
Sewage surveillance has detected fragments of the COVID-19 virus in samples taken from the South Grafton sewage treatment plant on 27 September.
This plant serves around 6,300 people and is the third detection in seven days in this area.
