Why are we not yet able to support Australians with the rush needs of relocatable and budget homes ..?
Resources .. Australia relies heavily on China for materials and manufacturing .. over the last 3 years various disasters in the world plus Covid have impacted the availability of these resources. Some suppliers are questionable e.g. Europeans posing as Chinese.
Staffing .. there is a shortage of construction staff .. The Government released funds to contractors build roads, airports and other initiatives to keep workers employed .. this took workers away from the general construction industry .. furthermore low wages and poor conditions have turned many millenials away from being labourers and growing into the industry. Many countries that we sourced staff from are also suffering their own disasters therefore needed at home.
Weather and Seismic changes .. this has meant for responsible operators in the lite buildings industry to seriously question the safety aspects of buildings particularly in coastal and heavy weather regions, the industry has allowed unacceptable structures and building materials for many years
Corruption . over the years developed relationships across the world with opportunities to support disasters but was blocked by big business who seek out industries excellent for money laundering.
