From A Distance Sessions - FAD Sessions presents: Goldheist & The Cranky Bankers: Eyes of Love Launch - Newcastle

Goldheist and her stellar band, The Cranky Bankers, will be touring EYES OF LOVE throughout 2022, including a concert at The Gal , Newcastle on Friday 1st April.
From the sails of the Sydney Opera House, to the caves of Naracoorte, the sounds of GOLDHEIST have echoed powerfully across the stages and streets of metropolitan, regional, and outback Australia.
In the wake of mass cancellations, crippling restrictions and disappointed dreams as the entertainment industry struggles to keep it’s head above COVID-infested waters, GOLDHEIST has brought to bear the healing force of music with the release of her new album EYES OF LOVE in January 2022.
Partially funded by Arts North West (MicroGrant), this album features a rich tapestry of instrumental sounds and influences, supporting and embellishing her poignant, incisive storytelling. At times vulnerable and others, defiant, GOLDHEIST possesses a unique ability to create musical portraits of Australian life, from the inner city streets to the wide open spaces of her New England heartlands - all through the eyes of love.
This fierce yet delicate body of work is a celebration of connection, imperfection, and the unexpected joys of best-laid plans gone awry.

Raise the Roof Music Comp

Emphasising that music shouldn't be a competition but instead an opportunity for us to come together and celebrate the amazing talent we have in the region. This will be open to both bands and soloists.

We want this to be Newcastle's biggest ever band/soloist comp. However, we don't want a winner take all scenario. We are working hard at coming up with a prize structure so that the bands that would benefit the most get certain prizes. Whether that's music videos, recording packages, money, mentoring, paid gigs and more.

Please provide us with any suggestions on what you would like to see as a prize!
