What a way to end the year! Today we hard launch our newest strategic superstar Josh Popow, who started last month as Strategy Advisor in the Melbourne office.

With a strong history in the strategic craft as well as digital media, Josh likens being a strategist to doing detective work; following hunches, gathering evidence, and being obsessed with the ‘why’.

In his spare time he is a marathon runner, movie buff, proud cat owner, and trivia fanatic. In fact, if you do a deep enough search you'll find him on Hard Quiz collecting a Big Brass Mug... Welcome to the team JPow!!

We are so excited to welcome Liam Loan-Lack to the Match & Wood team!! 🌟

As Chief Commercial & Strategy Officer he will have national influence across strategy and marketing effectiveness, client counsel, and driving client commercial outcomes, whilst also overseeing our WA office. Liam has a strong history in agencies as an executive leader, as well as client side in marketing and commercial roles, which makes him a brilliant addition to the team.

Recently our team in Perth/Boorloo had the incredible opportunity to engage in a Yarning & Painting session with local artist Justin Martin from

During the session we explored Whadjuk Nyungar Boodja country, delving into the connection between the natural environment and traditional art, including its symbols, colours, and language. The canvas we co-created beautifully represents the national team, along with our valued clients and media partners, symbolised by rivers flowing into a central core. We also added a special touch; what appear to be birds in flight are actually the letters M & W ❤️

The canvas is out for framing and we can't wait to put it on display, amazing work team!! And a heartfelt thank you to Justin for facilitating this experience.

Verity brings impressive levels of media experience honed at a various agencies, and her expertise in client service, team leadership & people development is already making positive waves across her client patch.

Outside work you'll find her spending time with her young family, beating her PB on Strava, curling up with a good book, and enjoying oysters & champagne when the occasion calls for it 😇

What an amazing 24 hours, thank you Media Federation of Australia!

On Thursday the M&W team attended MFA Ex in Sydney, where our Comms Executive Ashley Hill once again gave a compelling Inspiration X talk on the importance of blending media smarts with economic insights to ensure success for our clients.

That evening we also had the privilege of attending the MFA Awards to celebrate our shortlist for Best Use of Screens for our work with Snooze, and our brilliant Comms Managers Charlotte Israili and Cassandra Deegan who were up for the NGEN Award 👏

A huge day, a huge evening, and a cheeky Maccas run at 2am. We'd call that a success!!!

This award recognises incredible industry talent, and those people who are shaping the future of media, marketing & advertising.

Congratulations to our powerhouse duo of Charlotte Israili & Cassandra Deegan who are finalists in the NGEN Award this year.

This is a tough, nationwide, media strategy competition with a live judging round that puts the best entrants through their paces. To have emerged as finalists is a huge achievement and we wish them the very best of luck at the awards show in Sydney next month.

We are proud to share that we have renewed our Carbon Neutral status for another year 💚

Partnering with .net.zero and we have measured and offset 100% of emissions generated by our offices and the team working from home through Renewable Energy Certificates, certified carbon credits and biodiversity projects.

This is a meaningful step in our journey to becoming a more sustainable agency, and while we’ve still got plenty to learn we are committed to improvement and setting measurable goals to reduce our impact.
