Video engagement that 3X's the base of your followers

I don't have a large following on Instagram but reels is a great opportunity right now to expand that

Because of the RISE of Tik Tok, Youtube Shorts and short form content

Instagram are making a big move in the space too with Reels
They are effectively using a "pricing strategy" giving away organic views for free in order to incentivize people to use their platform vs Tik Tok and others (stolen phrase from a friend John James)

I will say views are never the be all and end all, but it is exciting to see videos that on other platforms get only hundreds of views due to saturation, getting thousands through Reels.

It's exciting to see results from my end and clients ends in Stefan Thomas (in the picture)

Even in comparison to other creators on the platform the numbers below in the image are still low, which is very cool!

Others are getting millions of engagement per video

In fact a video I produced a video for Tik Tok now has 3.9 million views

The opportunity to build a new audience on these new platforms is there
So the question remains

Have you used Tik Tok and Instagram Reels for your business yet?

If no what is stopping you?

Are you struggling to create video content?

You might be doing things the "Old Way"

let's see if this sounds familiar

you spend hours on a bunch of scripts
then time setting up equipment

now you finally hit record, but start forgetting lines, not saying your script correctly, or get nervous

all of a sudden 2 hours has gone by

you don't sound like yourself

you're scripted

and you've only managed to fully get 1 video done!

and all this before you even think about editing..

This process is time consuming and painful

which is why I started my business

I found that if I facilitate a conversation with an expert on their topic all of a sudden they

forget that the camera is there

start talking in a way that they get content they couldn't have gotten on camera before
start sounding more authentic

and even better, instead of 1 video, we usually find 10 to 20 videos
which can be 3 months worth of content all done for them in 45 min

so.. if you want to start doing things the new way

let's have a chat

comment below or message me "new way"

and let's start creating your 2022 videos

How long is it taking you to make 1 social media video?

first you have to shoot the content this often involves
- forgetting your lines
- making mistakes
- somebody calling you right as you get your lines correct!

and all this before you even figure out how to edit the videos...

What if there was a better way?

I can show you how to create 3 months worth of content in 45 min of your time

just click this link and let's have a chat

What did you binge watch this weekend...?

(Me I finished Suits)

The thing is though I watched all 9 seasons of this show over a very short amount of time, that ability Netflix has to captivate your attention through binge watching is INSANE!

But what if I told you, that you have the ability to leverage "binge watching" culture?

Whenever you launch a YouTube channel, podcast or new social content it has the ability to intrigue a new audience.

However if you just have 1 piece of follow content or episodes that interest from the new audience may go i.e how annoying is it when you have to wait a week for your new show?

Instead have a bulk of shows i.e content they can consume, you'll quickly find you have a new fan.

Doing an interview with someone is really just the start....

for me the long 45 min conversation is just the cherry on the top, I often don't value the full conversation as much as I value the gold that can come from the conversations.

think about the people that are showing up on your newsfeed daily, you've probably even gone to their seminars, bought their books or signed up to their mastermind....

why did you do that? it's because you've seen 2 videos 3 images and 1 blog post that really resonated with you

getting that content is what having a podcast is all about

One of the best parts about doing a podcast or any interview style format is the content that you can grab from each episode

In my eyes from an authenticity angle you can't beat a live interview

When you forget that the camera is there and you have a discussion with the other person you hit on golden topics that you just forget when you do it any other way

you also get volume, in a 45min conversation I average 10-20 pieces of video content just from the 1 conversation, even more when you turn quotes into images (like they one you're looking at here)

start your podcast it will be a gamechanger

When I was 18 (gosh almost 10 years ago.....)

I'd walk into a small business and ask them 'What are you doing with this social media thing' most of them said "we are doing nothing"

When I asked why? Often the answer was they just didn't know what to do....

I would then sit down and explain some strategies, which to me seemed fairly obvious, but they were more often than not blown away by the ideas

This really stumped me, why was something so easy a hard thing for them to understand.

Well what is easy for you may not be easy for someone else, it's your ability to then speed up that learning curve or to do it for them which is your value. Can you do something for someone in 1 hour that would take them 4?

Your value is based on the 4 hour saving that you create

Things today that are easy for me, but may not be easy for others

- Video Editing

- Content creation

- Podcast Production

- Filming content

- Marketing

So many times I get asked "what equipment do I need in order to start?"

the answer is pick a budget that works for you and go with that, you can always upgrade later, but if you spend months researching gear you will never start!

If you want a list of equipment I have personally tested for podcasting and video comment below or message me and I'll send you the guide.

If you're looking to start a podcast you'll need to have a description and introduction.

but what is the difference?

Well a description tells people what the show is about, it gives them an ability to find out more about the show.

Whereas an intro excites them about the show, they've clicked on to the episode and now it's your job to make sure they don't regret that decision, the best things you can do is

- Find music that fits with your brand

- Be snappy and energetic

- Tell me why I should stay around

These will help with understanding description vs intro

Filming, editing, planning, scripting, overthinking, WHAT IF I GET TROLLED!

this is 80% of the time what takes up peoples head space with content then 20% of the time I need to get someone to care about it

Instead 20% of that time should be creating and 80% promoting

Your first episode or video is going to SUCK!
..but this is a good thing, it means that no matter how much preparation you do and overthinking you do episode 1 is going to be miles worse than episode 100

When you except that, it means you are open to create, free of judgement

and to round this off, when you get to episode 100, episode 1 is just 1% of your overall work

When it comes to content, starting a podcast or videos so many people I speak to are scared to share their "Tips and Tricks" thinking that if they give that value away for free then nobody will actually buy their secret sauce i.e product and service.

However what they forget is Youtube, Google, Skillshare, Masterclass all exist!

What is valuable though is your products ability to get results or shorten the learning curve.

So someone can google what you do

but...

That will take hours, months and even years of time

and even after that will you do it correctly? Will it look good

or will that time be wasted. It's a simple calculation of Time vs Money.

I've found the more content I share, the more people come to me to actually implement

This was inspired by a conversation with Stefan Thomas

Billy Joel had some wise words in the song "You're Only Human (Second Wind)"

What is a failure that you have learnt from, and what was the valuable lesson from it?

I'll go first...

Last year I failed to build systems and processes, I didn't have back up plans and that was stressful.

This year I have learnt from that and have built strong foundations to have those systems and processes

5% You Talking 95% The Guest Talking....

Your podcast is not about you it is about the guest, this is a wave length comparison between me the host. And my guest Dr Liz

you can see the top one, me there are massive gaps in the speech, yet the guest is consistent, that is because all I am doing is asking questions.

Being quite and letting the guest go.

I want to know do you find it annoying when an interview host cuts off the guest?
