First AFL game… big decision 😅🏉

We were at the MCG in Melbourne and realised we had to pick a team while buying merch 👀

So for our first ever AFL match, we chose the Melbourne Demons ❤️💙

Our first time watching AFL… at the MCG! 😮

We finally experienced our first AFL game at the MCG in Melbourne, and as Brits watching Aussie Rules football for the first time, we had absolutely no idea ...

Australia completely exceeded our expectations…

We honestly didn’t know that much before coming… 😅

And turns out, it has everything. Cities, beaches, culture, history, rainforests, deserts, wildlife, food… the lot 😮

Did Australia surprise you too? Comment below 👇

One thing that really surprised us…

Travelling Australia was actually cheaper than we expected! But it really depends on what you drive, what you’re towing, fuel usage, and your setup. A big rig with a caravan is going to cost way more than a smaller setup...

We fully thought it would be insanely expensive, but for us, it ended up being way more doable than we imagined 😅

Did Australia surprise you cost-wise too, or did you find it expensive? Comment below 👇

Geelong 🗿

Geelong was not what we expected, in the best way possible! We found a really awesome foreshore with a great swimming area (sea pool & normal pool). The highlight was definitely the painted jetty poles along the waterfront, dotted around and painted by the late artist Jan Mitchell 🎨

The art scene in Geelong is really great, and there are loads of good food and drink spots too! The foreshore was absolutely bustling and we loved it 🎡

Someone asked us if we’d ever move to Australia permanently… 👀

…and honestly, we’d love to!

The only thing stopping us right now is visa types and how complicated they can be. But when it came to where we’d live, we both said the same answer at the exact same time… Sydney or Perth 😂🤝

If visas weren’t an issue, where in Australia would you live? Comment below 👇

Someone asked us what our favourite Australian foods are… 👀

And we both instantly said ANZAC biscuits and Chiko rolls 🤝😂

Now we need to know… what’s your favourite Aussie food? Comment below 👇

Someone asked us which Australian state we found the most interesting… 👀

And we both said the Northern Territory.

It felt completely different to anything we’d ever experienced. The landscapes, the remoteness, the colours, the vibe… it honestly didn’t feel real at times 😮

Which state do you find the most interesting? Comment below 👇

Travelling Australia has been a complete dream come true for Josie 🤍

She’s wanted to come here for so long. She knew about places like the Whitsundays… but had no idea about places like Broome and so many others 😮

That’s been one of the best parts, discovering all the places you don’t hear about as much!

What was your dream destination growing up? Comment below 👇

If we started our lap of Australia again, would we get a 4WD? 🤔

And honestly… yes, we would 😅
Not just for the tracks, but for the clearance, rough roads, beach access, and getting to more remote spots!

You don’t need one to travel Australia, but it definitely gives you more freedom…

Do you think a 4WD is worth it? Comment below 👇

We just finished a full lap of Australia… and the ending felt pretty surreal 😅

We started our journey at Fort Nepean… and finished it in Queenscliff where you can literally see Fort Nepean across the water 😮

Coming full circle like that was not something we planned, but it couldn’t have worked out better…

Have you ever had a trip end in a way that just felt meant to be? Comment below 👇
