Interesting Podcast. Environmentally friendly, biodegradable textiles from orange waste after juicing, glitter from Eucalyptus tree pulp, leather from pineapple, grape and apple skins. All happening outside Australia, but seems ideally suited to us with the prevalence of waste from all these products going into landfill. For decades numerous textile fibres have been made from the most amazing products. It all started during WW2 when innovators were looking for alternatives to items that were in short supply. Sadly, very few were taken up. It is only in the last 10 years that some have proved to be commercially viable.
