REVIEW : ⭐️

What stands out most about “M” is its ability to evoke a sense of childlike vulnerability. As the music swells, I can feel the emotions of my younger self—grappling with loss for the first time, yearning for comfort and understanding. The sonics are rich and enveloping, making you want to sway along as you’re drawn deeper into the song’s emotional core. It’s a track that speaks to the inner child in all of us, the part that hopes to be held and nurtured in the face of overwhelming emotions.

“Always Knew,” written as a relationship was ending, captures the bittersweet essence of inevitable heartbreak. The buoyant tone, swelling trumpets, and heavenly backing harmonies make it hard not to sway along, even as the depth of the lyrics sinks in. The chorus, with its six repeated words, is simple yet profound, revealing more with each listen.
