V-ZUG has arrived in Melbourne with a new studio on Church Street, Richmond that takes design cues from its local context.

Paul Hecker, founding principal of Hecker Guthrie, has been named as the jury chair for the 2025 Interior Design Excellence Awards.

ADR recently spoke to Hecker to find out more about the importance of IDEA and the types of projects that impress him.

“I think originality is overrated. I think what most people are looking for is familiarity in this world where change is happening all the time," he says.

Paul Hecker, founding principal of multidisciplinary Melbourne design practice Hecker Guthrie, has been named as the jury chair for IDEA 2025.
