What in the Frankensluice have we got here???
This is what happens when you go visit Stumpy picks. A new prototype 6" clean up sluice to play around with.. I glued riffle mat on to the gold catcher 3000 matting so all you do is turn it around and adjust the angle to suit

A good days out detecting on the gpz7000 and the 15cc x-coil. Most of the targets where kinder suprises. A Kinder suprise is a nugget hidden in the host rock usually a type of highly mineralised shale with ironstone or ironstone banding through out it..

A quick look into the difference between the same ore, the bucket on the right has been roasted in charcoal for 3 to 4 hours, and have a look at those red and burgundy colours while the bucket on the left has not.. (still white and grey colour)
The process of roasting ore will unlock gold from the minerals and sulphides while oxidising them at the same time...

I do find I'm having more success breaking it down into smaller pieces prior throwing them in the fire

Where there was plenty of modern day prospector dig holes everywhere around me.. TBH I don't know how they missed this 1.1 gram nugget, it was right inbetween 2 dig holes ..

The Bunnings Gold Catcher Thing 3000 Matt... Does it work in a sluice?? Let's find out hey... So today I have decided to experiment with rubber matting I bought from bunnings hardware to see if it works capturing gold while using the clean up buddy made by Dream Mat USA... With a few trails, errors and modifications I got the Frankenstein working. The Gold ore I was running was quite large material at 20" mesh.. And here are the results.. I would say this Mat would be awesome to get through Volume of material quickly but no way could you call it a clean up sluice..
