داکتر سیما سمر یک زن هزاره و مدافع حقوق بشر، فعال و داکتر طب در مجامع ملی و بین المللی است که از دسمبر 2001 تا 2003 به حیث وزیر امور زنان افغانستان خدمت کرده است.
از گفتگوی جالبی که با دکتر سیما ثمر داشتیم واقعاً لذت بردم. مثل یک رویا بود که با دکتر سمر صحبت کنم و با داستان او آشنا شوم و سپس با همه شما در میان بگذارم. از دکتر سمر برای اعتماد به من و به اشتراک گذاشتن داستان شگفت انگیزش با همه ما قدردانی می کنم. باعث افتخار بود که دو ساعت به اضافه با دکتر سیما ثمر صحبت کنم. با تشکر از دکتر سیما ثمر برای وقت و داستان شگفت انگیز شما.

داکتر سیما سمر، داود خان میخواست سیستم اداری افغانستان را از فارسی به زبان پشتو تبدیل کند در حالیکه نه داود خان و نه ظاهر شاه پشتو بلد باشد. موفق نشد.به ای تعصبی که نسبت به زبان فارسی داشت.
