Testing our new G-Shocks ⌚️in the harsh elements of the Australian outback thanks to ….. My Rangeman GPRH1000 and Chris’s Mudmaster GG1000 held up like champs. These watches are designed for pretty much anything you can throw at them, even Chris 😂

Venturing through the untamed Australian outback for the last two weeks in ADU’s latest GMSV Chev 2500 HD build has been an eye-opening journey. Witnessing a number of American trucks tackle both on and off-road challenges while effortlessly towing massive vans has truly redefined my perspective and why they are starting to dominant in the Australian touring vehicle market. Bucket list item ticked…. Seeing the Crocodile Dundee 🐊 movie as a kid, I have always wanted to visit the pub where it was filmed, Walkabout Creek Hotel. The movie portrays it’s based in the Northern Territory, but you’ll actually find it in a little town called McKinlay in outback Queensland. They still have the original bar that was in the movie out the back. Not sure on the population, but I only counted a handful of houses. And the 🍺 was cold 👍🏽

5 days and a large amount of time in the back seat of the Chev Silverado 2500HD, I am totally blown away how comfy it has been. I have my suitcase, camera bag, food plus all Chris and Miriam’s gear. As you can see in the last pic I’ve managed to turn it into a little office.

It’s been awesome travelling from the Gold Coast to the centre of Australia with Chris and Miriam. Lots of learning of what it takes to travel Australia and hopefully one day be able to do the same.

And if you ever travel to Mitchell in Queensland, be sure to use a different fuel pump to what we used. Most probably the slowest we have ever come across. Not good with a 220 litre fuel tank. You can see Chris’s frustration 😂

Travelling with ADU definitely has its perks. They have seen a fair chunk of Australia and know where all the tourist attractions are, like this one, the Tree of Knowledge. I wouldn’t say it has made me any smarter, but it does have an interesting history. I’ll let Wikipedia explain.

‘The Tree of Knowledge was a heritage-listed tree in Oak Street, Barcaldine, Barcaldine Region, Queensland, Australia, that was poisoned and killed in 2006. It was a 200-year-old Corymbia aparrerinja ghost gum. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992.

The town was the headquarters of the 1891 Australian shearers’ strike and the tree was the site of the 1892 reading of the Labour Party manifesto leading to the formation of the Australian Labor Party (ALP)

We were treated to an absolute insane show of the Aurora Australis here last night. It was my first time experiencing this phenomenon and supposedly one of the best in over 20 years. Even after we thought it was starting to disappear it came back with even more force producing tall cathedral like columns with flickers of light shooting over our heads. Amazing to share in this light show, which went all around the globe. Thanks Henderson’s for modelling and letting Zach and I use your property. .

If you know me, you’ll know I love a G-Shock watch. I’ve owned them for years and have always been sold on the quality, toughness and fit…. For the last two years, I have been extremely fortunate to collaborate with which has given me the chance to test out some other models. This Mudmaster GWG-B1000 would have to be my hands down favourite so far. Comfort, design and its features are what makes it a superior watch for me. At least give it a look if you’re in the market for an adventure or even casual watch. This is not a sales pitch, it’s just my honest opinion.
