Close details of Ruins of Saint Paul’s in Macau China.

Still remaining as Macau’s best tourism spot, these ruins are all that are left of what was a church back in the day, destroyed by a fire in 1835.

You can see historic Portuguese influence throughout Macau, from infrastructure and design, as the region was colonised in the 16th century. Pt2 to come ✌🏼

We are home!

Before we start on our content from Japan we had to share this with you guys.

We were gave some intel to get down where ever we could as there would be an Aurora, what we didn’t expect is to be able to see it with the naked eye. To shoot this through our camera for the first time was incredible and we are addicted already, we have so many things we have already learned for the next time when shooting.

Embracing serenity amidst the towering beauty of Lantau Island’s Big Buddha. 🙏✨

The Big Buddha, also known as Tian Tan Buddha, is a towering bronze statue located on Lantau Island in Hong Kong. It stands at 34 meters (112 feet) tall and is one of the largest seated Buddha statues in the world. Constructed in 1993, the statue symbolizes harmony, spirituality, and enlightenment. Visitors can ascend a flight of 268 steps to reach the base of the statue and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and seascape. The Big Buddha is a popular tourist attraction and a revered symbol of Buddhist culture in Hong Kong.

Blue lake tasmania, if you haven’t already you absolutely have to check this place out.
In fact there is a camp ground jus down the road at ’big blue lake’
Derby is a 40 min drive.
It’s a must see in Tasmania.

YST- triton is almost ready for touring.

Canopy specs:
originally a second hand TC Box 1500 mm canopy.
Fully restored with etch primer epoxy primer and satin black base.
Doors will be coated with the same colour as the Triton (Graphite grey).
Interior and 12v will be shown in another post.

Wheels specs:
5x Sniper Ballistic rims 17x9+25
Maxxis AT RAZR 265/65/17

Other mods:
Ironman bull-bar, custom spot lights, oricom uhf, dobinson MRA 2 inch lift (to be fitted)

Camping last night, shooting the sky..

With our iPhone we noticed something different when we captured an image, a tinge of red which as first we thought was just a reflection of the fire, then realised it was indeed an Aurora. We have a dinosaur of a camera (Nikon D7000) that we decided at the last minute to throw in the ute before we left home, that was a pretty good decision as we decided to use it to capture this image off the back of the ute. Our first capture of a Aurora.

Our travel machine has changed a fair bit since we last posted it.

We have added an Ironman bull bar and spot lights, wheels and tyres with a bit more beef (specs below)
Added a roof platform for additional storage. We are looking forward to the aluminium canopy being installed as it will be a game changer for camping.

Pointing at the curve of the earth 🧐

This exhilarating walk on Maria is now one of our favourites in tassie, the return walk is 11 kms and you should expect it to take around 4-5 hours. We recommend that you take some lunch with you so you can have a picnic at the summit to refuel for the trek down.
