Just put out a little doco I shot a couple of years ago, originally this footage was just going to be a 3 min segment in a larger film I'm still working on. La Sportiva Australia asked if I could put anything together for the Vertical Life Film Tour so, I decided to make this a stand-alone film. More info on youtube. Hope you enjoy it!

SEVEN DAYS, NINE WONDERS

It almost seemed like this was a doomed road trip for Blue Mountains photographer Ben Sanford Media. But then, after months of trying, everything came together, and he and his crew were able to string together an amazing sequence of some of Canada’s more aesthetic ice climbs.

Shot a little passion project about a month ago whilst the landscape is so unique from the bushfire aftermath. Big thanks to Luke Hansen for running around with me and Will for carrying equipment.

A lil promo video for Mountain Equipment Australia aiming to inspire all those in lockdown during COVID-19 to continue the psyche; so that when we are free to adventure again, we are stronger than ever before.

Eventually I’ll post my better shots. Time to head home, sadly. Probably gonna have to go on a solo trip out into the bush for two weeks for my ‘isolation’ with COVID-19. Got a fair bit done and had a great time. The past week has been and myself trying to get out for one last big climb but Canada has been telling us it’s home time. Got to the base of French Reality/ Stanley Headwall today, weather was perfect, Naoise checked his phone to find out he needs to fly back to Ireland tomorrow because of all this craziness, so we had to bail. Win some, you lose most, which is something said that also reflected how and I felt in Revelstoke trying to shoot too.
This photo is from a about a month ago, in the Ghost Valley heading back after climbing Weathering Heights and Anorexia Nervosa. Many reasons to come back next year now. Can’t wait!

I'm proud to share "Vertigo - Australia's Hardest Trad Climb"
A short film on ACT local Dan Fisher, climbing some Australia's gnarliest rock in the beautiful Namadgi National Park.
Presented by La Sportiva in association with EDELRID both of which are distributed by Expedition Equipment in Aus.
We spent half a day back in October shooting this, but it definitely took much longer to put together. Thanks to those who critiqued the drafts.
Big thanks to Callum Hyland for belaying & ACT National Parks for their support and being so awesome to organise a permit with.

Definitely a true test piece, hard, scary, potentially dangerous. Its got moves that are at least V10 & V11 I would say. The gear if often quite small and in...

Here's a recent recount I've written on my last trip in NZ for the New Zealand Alpine Club Journal 2019. Probably one of the most interesting pieces I've written, with the help of Gavin Lang who shared the journey with me and Tom Hoyle the editor of The Climber magazine.

Time-lapse in the Darren Mountains, New Zealand from 2017. Was somewhere between 2-4am. Quality uploaded terrible for some reason. Ohwell 🤷🏼‍♂️

Felt bad for leaving home, escaping the smoke and fires to the opposite conditions in Canada. This week it’s supposed to reach -35 in Calgary. This time-lapse is of the beautiful Grose Valley, Blue Mountains from early last year. Much of the bush you can see here, has been burnt. Thoughts are with all the beautiful little animals that are up there with Steve Irwin, those who’ve lost their homes and lives. To those that spent the last few months fighting the fires in particular the volunteers/ legends. Hopefully our government can stop blaming one another and just move forward, accept the science and work together. Anyhoot, love you all. Xoxo

10 shots from some of the highlights of my year. Fortunately travelled to Canada, Peru and NZ a few times. Didn’t really work a whole lot, mostly played this year. Hopefully each year can be more and more play. Thanks to everyone who was a part of my year, all my mates in Aus and abroad. Love you all. To all those who got silly 🍻 and those who got scared and cold 🥶 in the mountains with me. Cheers!
Also big thanks to all of you who are following and supporting my journey.

Photos from last night of the Katoomba bushfire that originally started at Cedar Creek weeks ago but has now spilled over Narrowneck into the Megalong Valley. (14th December 2019)
As always, massive thanks to the emergency services. RFS in particular, absolute soldiers, they need our support, the government won't help but that's no excuse not too. Christmas is about giving and this year I'll be donating to drought relief and RFS instead of typical presents.
