In the great Australian tradition, many people have turned the Australia Day holiday into a long weekend.

If you plan to camp during this weekend and want to enjoy a campfire, remember that an adult must be present at all times. Additionally, please ensure the campfire is completely extinguished before you leave.
If you notice a campfire unattended please call Triple Zero Victoria "000"

The CFA has already responded to fires caused by abandoned campfires this summer.

Please note that all campfires, along with fires for warmth or personal comfort, are prohibited on Total Fire Ban Days. During these days, you cannot light a campfire.
