Feels Like Summer in Coolangatta 🌅

Back in 1953, the first jingle to promote an Australian tourism destination was written about a little seaside town on the QLD/NSW border.

It’s Hot in Brisbane
but it’s Coolangatta was played on radio nationwide to promote the region, and was funded by 39 local businesses for the old Coolangatta Chamber of Commerce.

The amazing contribution from our Major Sponsors and Supporting Partners allowed over 45 Local Hero’s to join us in praising the past with a vision for the future.

Early morning hangs with Shaggadelic Productions and the Youth Music Venture crew behind the tunes to Shagga’s new promotional video for Cooly 🎬

It’s a follow up on the Essentially Cooly feature film, which was launched during the border closures to help Cooly survive.

‘When it’s hot in Brisbane it’s Cool-in-gatta’ 🏖️

These talented musicians have done a fantastic job composing the music.

I can’t wait to see the final cut! 🙌

The Only One MP Project.

Supported by a handful of local businesses and championed by Division 14 Councillor Gail O’Neill, it’s our way of paying tribute to a special part of local surfing history. ✊

The Limited Edition Production T-Shirts were picked up today from in Currumbin, and Gail was kind enough to model hers for our social post 👏🙏😊

The updated final mix is now complete with some wailing lead breaks on the guitar by legendary Californian surfer, 🎸🤘

We’ll be speaking with the this week about rolling the track out online, and the First Run Vinyl should be pressed by Mid November 🥳

The team from have also allowed us to licence Alby’s iconic footage in the film clip, and we intend to celebrate the amazing honour that Alby received in the 2023 Kings Birthday Awards on the album cover 👏👏

The final mix of ‘ONLY ONE MP featuring Tom Curren’ is complete and will be sent off next week to be pressed to Vinyl for the Limited First Run of 100 to be released in Australia this Spring.

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL SURFING DAY !!!

A massive thank you to everyone who made our film night “Poetry in Motion” possible and successful last month .festival

The support we had from everyone was amazing and
and I are so thankful for the backing from you all.

The night was a celebration of Surf, Music, Art, culture and surf icons the 2 legends MP and

Also Live music by & Kaj to the surfing footage was a crowd favourite!

Incredible artwork by the talented

MP's mum Joan was on hand for the project unveil, including a song composed by Mason just for occasion.

The tribute befitting both local legends was made possible thanks to the support sponsors including  .oneill.35

To close the night, framed prints of Hoole's MP image overlaid with poetry were also up for bids, as was a classic shot of by

Attendees could also win big with surfboards including a signed by Parko, a handpainted board,   and a handcrafted wooden Bewicke board and stand all up for grabs, alongside artworks from and raffle goodies from and a skate deck + clothing pack from Coolangatta.

Watched it last night & it lived up to its name !!! you have created a masterpiece!!! Absolute crack up, Outrageous, Hilarious, Refreshing, Funny as f$&@!
