World Cup Semi Final
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 England v Samoa 🇼🇸

Tipping a much closer battle here compared to the round 1 hiding England put on Samoa as the Samoans have found some belief and the key man are starting to stand up when it matters!

Englands spine has been clinical all World Cup whereas Samoas has been mostly sparked by Jarome Luai and teen superstar Joseph Suaali’i. Fa’amanu Brown at 9 needs to pick his times to run in this game to take some pressure off Luai as England will be targeting him knowing the kind of attack Luai can produce especially close to the try line.

Englands back row is world class. Bateman is a handful in any team he plays in, Whitehead is as solid as they come and Victor Radley appears to be on a mission in his first International Tournament. Samoas edges need to be on their game to upstage the experienced England boys.

Taylan May and Brian To’o need to do their usual job in attack racking up the metres out of their own end but they’ll also have to be switched on with Englands wingers in Tommy Makinson & Dom Young already having 16 tries between them this Cup!

The Old Rivals from across the ditch!
🇦🇺 Australia v New Zealand 🇳🇿
Let’s be honest as Aussies we’re glad it’s League and not Union because the Kangaroos go in as heavy favourites which is never the case in the 15 man Code! Both sides are full of talent there’s no doubting that but were leaning heavily towards a Kangaroos win here.

Australia’s back line is full of strike and X factor and I think they have the edge there particularly on Latrell & Addo-Carrs side.

Kiwi forward pack is monstrous but I think they may lack a bit of mobility. I hope they start Big Nelson off the bench and bring Papali’i into the starting side.

Aussies are reuniting the Maroons ho**er rotation of Harry Grant and Ben Hunt for the semi and this could be a big difference maker. Those two crafty little bastards will be hard to handle in the middle when the Kiwi big men get tired.

The Halves battle is juicy but the word on the street is Jahrome Hughes is battling his way through injury this tournament which has taken some spring out of his step. Nathan Cleary will be looking to make amends for his poor kicking game last week and will go close to MOM in his first World Cup Semi Final.

They’ll be desperate to win this semi and get a shot at the Cowboys in the Preliminary Final. If Mitch Moses doesn’t play or his head gets knocked around early you can count them out. Jake Arthur is handy but he’s no Mitch Moses. King Gutho needs to stand up and Reed Mahoney will desperate for this to not be his last game in Parra Colours! Can they do it ???
