Storytelling is definitely The Drama Merchant my cup of tea! And I’m pleased to say that with simple staging, puppetry and excellent performance skills from the entire group; Good Time Theatrics have produced an interesting & thought-provoking night of entertainment that I believe is worth the price of admission… or in my case the cost of fuel.

The cast of Boys in the Band is are a mixture of Gold Coast locals who are treading the boards for the first time and others coming back after years of doing nothing! American playwright Bekah Brunstetter’s The Cake is a cosy little play, which deals with a delicate and sensitive issue, that can divide communities.

This bunch of talented actors made this a truly professional production at Spotlight Theatrical Company . While I definitely had my favourite character impressions, these actors worked together to create a true collaborative experience, portraying their characters with a high level of skill and professionalism!

Keep an eye out for The Reaction Theory's future productions, definitely worth the train ticket to Brisbane to supporting this independent theatre group, as they carve a piece of their own in this creative environment.
