Down Under Racing started in the early 2000's with Gran Turismo 4 and through several evolutions in technology and generations of consoles has managed to continue racing with several different projects, including the warhorse, lilith, titania and Gee Tee to name a few. Down Under Racing also specialises in events such as Down Under Unlimited Fang It Friday and Down Under Unlimited Send It Sunday (

found at www.facebook.com/DownUnderUnlimited ) which is an any BOP any Style and any Car event that is hosted at a track each week with the aim to train more drivers to have fun and to also aim for a better class of driving in their category. Recently, Down Under Racing has turned from driving in gaming to the epic thrills of real life driving.

The team driver 's at Down Under Racing hit the track at Deep Forrest Raceway for round 5 of the IRC R300 class

The first to go out competitively was car 21. Piloted by Jessica Brown and finally with dry track conditions to be able to show what the C7 could do. First lap was fairly flawless but on lap 2 finding the wall at turn 1 cost Jess a bit of time. Swiping the turn 10 wall as well but not causing any damage was able to power on until the final corner where going to hit into the exit ment scraping the wall a final time.

Car 66 had better luck scoring a 1:46 in the first lap and an even better 1:38 on lap 2.

A rainy and waterlogged Spa

The Down Under Racing C7 hit the track at spa for the IRC R300 Round 4. Had to fix the car for more water and rain so had to severely raise the ride height and adjust the handbrake to suit.

Had a few near miss incidents but didn't crash and kept it shining until the end
The last lap was a fun one

Spa brought out the best of the expression sessions with the C7. The TC unit failed on the final turn and was wheel spin alley across the line...

💦🐲🌹 a rainy Dragon Trail 🌹🐲💦

The IRC Round 3 R2 Class for number 21 was a round to forget. Firstly plagued with controller issues and restarting.

The 21 car recovered and put on a show. Probably one of the better solo runs I've seen from Jessica.

The car clipped only two walls and didn't receive damage that changed the cars overall performance.

💦🐲🌹🚗💨 The Rainy Send 🚗💨🌹🐲💦

The IRC Round 3 R2 Class run for car No # 66 was a bit of a handful. The handbrake was configured for heavy rain and caused more oversteer as a result.

The car managed to stay off the walls but came close to spinning multiple times

Hopefully the Down Under Racing Team Chevrolet drivers will deliver some good results from these runs, despite the rain...

The engineering department at Down Under Racing Team Chevrolet have isolated the issue with car 21.

The car controller for throttle has only been reading 60% throttle while physically at 100%. The team has remapped the system to counteract the issue revolving around car 21 and the general pace.

The team is hoping to fix the issue before the completion of IRC Round 3 at Dragon Trail Gardens and for there to be no issues for the upcoming Manufacturers FIA Series.

🤯😍🔥 Surprise 🔥😍🤯

The drivers at Down Under Racing Team Chevrolet have hit the track at the IRC Round 2 N300 R2 Class at Catalunya. Despite it being the core driver aka Jordan Brook at the helm of the 66 C7. The car handled as tho it was alive and could move and look good doing it. This run that was completed might not of been the fastest but it looked incredible. Well worth the watch

The first cars from down under racing team Chevrolet is rocking up to the awesome SoCal location. A collection of roads made up to create the Grand Valley Raceway Highway 1 layout ahead of S3R1 of the Manufacturers FIA Series.

All three Down Under Racing 's drivers are expected to hit the track within days for the start of testing and training at the circuit.

The first session for the down under racing team Chevrolet drivers has shown some results with Jordan placing within the top 1000 in the world with a sub 2min. And even surpassing it.

The realistic target for the team is set and Essentially the brief for drivers is to set a free practice lap as a reference. And just show up and finish the race. Even if it's a last place result.

Readers might be scratching their heads as to this tactic. Put simply in justification. The drivers excluding Jordan Brook in the GT2 league for FIA. The other drivers have yet to make a debut into sport mode therefore the expectation is to just finish the race.

Was there a wastegate failure in the Down Under Racing GT?

The team has reviewed the data from the Q4 Qualification session for the LM1000. And towards the end of the session the wastegate on the GeeTee sounded like it had blocked. Causing a very very old and extremely dangerous phenomenon wherein the cars top speed in the "Mulsanne 1 speedtrap" was caught at over 297kmh.

"The car came out of the Dunlop curves going into tetre roughe and the turbos wastegate kept fluttering. And as soon as I hit Mulsanne the cars turbo vacuumed and sounded like it ran away from the engine. Last thing I saw going into the first chicane was 296ish kmh and new we would need to review it" JD Said after the Q4 session

"The GT isn't on the same page as the other cars (BMW M6 gte) with something like 40hp more. That translates into a big margin at the end of the lap" JD added following a Q4 to forget.

Just not fast enough

the team at down under racing has been hard at work to get not only the production version of the Ford Shebly Gt4017 up and running but also competing in the LM1000, the team has just completed Q4 with results ticked for the cars personal performance but in terms of class its 3.5 seconds off the pace of the Bmw M6 GTE which saw an impressive 3:52 lap time versus the down unders time of 3:57.9

the team will be looking into what areas to improve over the next few days ahead of the LM1000 on sunday night.
