Here's how far I've come as a young bloke who wanted to film things πΆπ¬π§
In 2014 I scored a role with AFL Northern Territory as a media junior, taken under the wing of Brad Stewart, he gave me shot in making videos after working on the cameras filming NTFL games. The first ever project I worked on was a weekly segment called 'DK & Grey', a quick wrap up and look ahead at the upcoming NTFL games.
With my crappy camcorder, I endeavoured to make it as good as I could with what I had, and as you can see, it wasn't great. Terrible lighting, average quality, but the bones were there. I built on this and wanted to do better, because I knew I had it in me.
Fast forward to 2020, I'm working with a very fresh Kayo Sports on a large scale production, filming upwards of 3-4 content pieces with EVERY NRL team. With the big sneeze around, this meant travelling to every club's home base and shooting a range of different content over the course of about a month with an awesome crew. The difference is insane, with more knowledge on cameras, access to great gear and lighting and a supportive crew that really brang out the best work in me.
I stuck to my craft and wanted to keep pushing to another level, the best thing is, there is no ceiling to this line of work and that's what keeps me hungry.
