Voting in this very long election campaign is finally about to close. 😅And while the debate rages on as to whether a completely postal vote was a good idea, whatever happens next, I just wanted the chance to thank you for letting me into your lives, and for supporting and seeing me for what I stand for.
Thank you to everyone who took a flyer, stopped for a chat, visited my website, watched my videos, scanned my QR code, reacted to a social media post or sent me a DM. And for all my close supporters and helpers thank you for your friendship, your encouragement, your help and your love. ❤️
Some have called me brave or even brazen to put myself out there for public judgement. But this is just me, as I am, doing what I love and what comes instinctively - it has been much more fun than I imagined it would be. I am so proud to be part of this community and I hope I have the opportunity to serve it in the future in the most positive and constructive way I can.
Whatever happens next, I hope the next Councillors can restore fairness, trust and pride in council and affect a real change that prioritises people and not political parties in local governance. I would love that.
There’s more to say, but for now, I better get back to marking assignments! 🤓

The pressure to assimilate in Australia in the 80s meant that I never formally learned Vietnamese growing up! I can mostly understand it, but my conversational Vietnamese, as you can see is pretty rusty. Most of my colleagues and mates have never heard me speak Vietnamese so I thought you’d find this practise pitch of interest.
