Happy New Year all. Just giving you all an update instead of individually. 🙃😊
To all the extras that are still waiting to be paid from the production you worked on last year, apparently there has been a delay in payment due to the production companies hired accounts team going on holidays over the Christmas, New Year period. I have been told they are returning to work this coming Monday. If you haven’t been paid by the end of next week, please PM me and I will give you the email address to the production company to make direct inquiries.
I am sorry you have been faced with this delay in payment.

Well that’s a WRAP for all but one extra. What a ride that was!
Thank you so much to everyone who participated. I am forever grateful to you all. Without extras, there’s no film. You guys are the backbone of what sets the theme, and all of you were fantastic!

Ok I’ve sent out messages to successful applicants/extras for Monday 2nd of December Restaurant Scene and Thursday 5th of December, beach party scene. Thanks to the people who have promptly replied that they are available. Those who are not available, could you please get back to me asap so I can find replacements. Good morning
I’m looking for 2 x Chefs and 1 x Dishwasher to work as paid extras on Monday 2nd December.

There are still positions available for extras who wish to have work experience for a short scene on set (approximately 4 hours) as unpaid extras for the following,
Life guard beachy types Thursday 5th of the December, (men and women.)
Beach wedding guests, Tuesday 3rd of December (men only as the women’s positions are filled.)
You will be sure to have a memorable experience and the opportunity for paid work in the future as it is great to book people who know what working on a film entails. I have many on this page who have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I would love to hear some feedback to encourage any new comers.

Good Morning everyone.
I just want to say a huge thank you to all those who applied to be paid extras on the film currently in production through Screen QLD Cairns. I will contact the successful applicants over the coming days/weeks. As you know every production requires specific looks so if you don’t get in this time, better luck for next time.
I have just a couple of tasks I need to cover.

2 x Life Savers to be extras and work for 3 days through out the shoot.

3 x Picture Doubles of the main cast actors who can Jetski and snorkel. (2 men, about 6 feet tall, clothing size medium to large. 1 female, about 5 foot 8, clothing size 10 to 12 medium length brunette hair.)

Up to 30 people who would like to volunteer as extras for one day in a crowd scene.

All of the above aged between 25 to 55 years old.

Please include a current clear head shot and body shot attached to your email. I will print them and add them to your application.

Hi everyone
Wow it’s almost Christmas again!
Just putting it out there to stay tuned for some payed extras work coming up in the near future.
I will put out a casting call in the not too distant future, so keep an eye out. Work will be available for a day or two in-between mid November to mid December in the greater Cairns region.
Hope I can get some of you awesome extras back from previous productions.
Will keep you posted.

Crew Needed

Production Runner: 2 April to 17 May
House + Production Runner: 8 April to 11 May
Runner x 1 (Day Crew) : 12 April to 12 May
Runner x 2 (Evening-Night Crew): 12 April to 12 May
House / Unit Assistants x 2: 17 April to 11 May (this is an evening-night shift). We need to crew this with 1 person doing a 4-day week and the other a 3-day week, or a 5/2 split.

All runners will need to have their FULL DRIVERS LICENSE. Positions are available for Cairns locals.

Also needed, a house in a rural setting, meant to be the Mayor’s residence in a fictitious cane growing town (not so grand). We need an interior bedroom and verandah area. Ideally 20 mins north or south of cairns.
A fee will be payed for use of house probably 3 days in the first week of March.
