Following on from my post last night, I wanted to offer some more insight into how both influencer marketing and affiliate marketing work.
While there is a lot of value in cultivating a large audience on social media, it takes an investment of time and consistency before you reach the level of Influencer.
Affiliate marketing is something you can really hit the ground running with, learning and earning as you grow your audience.

With all that I've discovered in the online business world, I truly believe that selling other people's products in the form of digital marketing is the best place to start.
It requires the least amount of financial risk.
It requires the least amount of time to get started.
It can be automated in many ways.
And no matter whatever it is you want to build an online business around, one of the biggest factors to success is marketing and generating online traffic.
So starting with a digital marketing business, selling other people's products, is the best way to start and the best way to learn and grow.
This is one area that excites me so much and I'm offering mentoring on this topic specifically, helping creative people generate multiple streams of income with digital marketing. Reach out of this interests you

Selling products online is a huge topic that encompasses so many different methods and possibilities.
There is so much to unpack in this topic - more than will ever fit into one post. So I do plan to dive deeper into it in future posts.
But the main thing to consider is - so many creative skills go into branding and marketing and setting up sales platforms.
- Photography
- Graphic Design
- Website Building
- Copywriting
- Video Production
It's such a creative and collaborative process from start to finish and it's one way that you can be your own client and use your skills for your own gain.
It's something that can be set up over time, in small windows of time and then can turn into an income stream that doesn't require much time to manage.

I remember when I got into wedding videography I saw other successful photographers offering workshops teaching others how to shoot in a similar style to their signature look.
At first, it baffled me because I thought - "Why would you teach others how to copy you? You're creating competitors for your business? "
But it really comes down to a mindset of abundance.
These photographers were no doubt at capacity with their workload and needed to find other photographers to refer work inquiries too.
And they no doubt had many other photographers asking them questions and wanting to pick their brains.
I even had a few other videographers reach out to me for advice, which I thought was crazy because I was just figuring it as I went myself.
The thing is there is always enough work for everyone.
You don't need to hoard skills or insider secrets on how you've achieved success.
In fact, you can actually monetize your knowledge and expertise by sharing them with others. There will always be people willing to pay to know what you know.
And there are plenty of ways you can do this online with e-book, coaching, paid video training and tutorials.
I hope this post sparked some ideas for you. Save it for later, share it with someone who will find it valuable and leave a question in the comments.

I've been getting back into freelance video production coordination work over the last 6 months and it's been amazing to see how much can be done remotely now.
No longer do I have to go to a production office. It can all be done via emails, phone calls, zoom calls, which has allowed me to do the work amongst family life.
But essentially if you have a creative skill that primarily uses a computer, like photo or video editing, writing, graphic design, website design, (even general admin) you can actually work as a freelancer from where ever you choose.
I'll discuss ways to find clients online as well in future posts. Save this post for later, share with someone who will find this valuable. Drop a question in the comments.

Over the last four years I've been exploring and searching for ways to use my creativity to make money in a really flexible way.
I used social media to grow my videography business 8 years ago, so I understand the potential of using the online space for marketing.
Once I became a mum, I wanted to find a way to earn money without working to a client's schedule or brief. So I could have more flexibility around family life.
It all started with exploring freelance writing and learning how to monetize a blog but it's lead to so many more possibilities.
I now feel called to share all that I've discovered along the way, to inspire and empower other creative people to think differently about work and money and time.
So here is 4 very general idea for how to creatively earn an income by leveraging the online space.
Basically it comes down to having something to sell or offer.
1. You can sell your skills and services as a digital freelancer.
2. You can sell your knowledge and expertise as a coach, mentor or author.
3. You can sell a product that you've created, whether it's a physical product or a digital product.
4. You can sell a product that someone else has created.
I'll go into a lot more detail about each of these topics in future posts.
Let me know if you've ever considered this way of business.
