𝗔𝗘𝗣 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛 𝗨𝗣 - 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿

AEP were once again at Byron Bay on New Years Eve with our long-term clients Experience Rova. We provided our L-Acoustics A15's, KS21's and X12's on the Dening Park stage, while the Johnston St stage was taken care of by our ADRaudio U103D's, ATA118's and M1225 monitors. Across both stages for lighting we deployed our Tour Pro LED Beam 50's, Slimpar 7 Jr's, Elation Fuze Z120 washes and Smokefactory Tourhazers. We also provided backline across both stages.

𝗔𝗘𝗣 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛 𝗨𝗣 - 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿

In December we were thrilled to provide our L-Acoustics A15 system, consisting of 4 x A15 Focus and 1 x A15 Wide, driven by 2 x LA4x's to Shake & Stir Theatre Co's 'Christmas Carol', playing in the QPAC Concert Hall. The system was used as a centre cluster in the venue, flying just above the set, to provide reinforcement of the vocal microphones. It integrated flawlessly with the in-house Kara system, allowing the audience full, undistorted coverage.

AEP provided Technical Management and production hire services for 2023's edition of Undercover Artist festival, held at Queensland Theatre.

AEP provided an array of equipment from Elation Lighting, L-Acoustics, Shure, DPA and RF Venue, plus a Backline package and Drape package.

We're so thrilled to be involved with such a fantastic festival, and would like to give a giant thank-you to the organisers for having us on board.

AEP were thrilled to provide Sound Design and operation for the little red company's 'There's Something about Music' at Brisbane Festival. We also provided a microphone and DI package (including Radial, Shure, Telefunken and Sennheiser) and Triad Orbit stands to make the nightly quick changeovers a breeze. All reports indicate that we tamed a difficult venue with a high reverberation time and provided a rocking time!

AEP were thrilled to support our long-term clients Shake & Stir Theatre Co for their debut season of 'Tae Tae in the land of Yaaas!' at QPAC. We supplied them a rock-solid system of Shure Axient beltpacks and receivers, and DPA 6066 headsets to ensure that Guy Webster's sound design had the punch needed to get over the ecstatic crowd!

For the eighth year in a row, AEP was thrilled to provide rehearsal audio services for the Featured and Backing vocalists at Creative Generation - State Schools Onstage.

AEP provided our L-Acoustics X8 system driven by LA4x's for FOH and monitors, to maintain a consistent sonic signature when we hand over to our friends at Norwest Productions who supply the main event. We also provided crewing services for the main event at BCEC.

𝗔𝗘𝗣 𝗥𝗼𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗪𝗮𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲

Australian Event Productions was once again selected by Experience Rova to provide all their production needs for the Sounds of Sundown Festival in Wauchope, NSW. Acts were varied, including BUGS and Headliners Australian Rock Collective (Darren Middleton, Davey Lane, Mark Wilson and Kram).

AEP provided an Adamson CS10 Line array system and CS119 subs and L-Acoustics X12 wedges and KS21 subwoofers. Control was by an Allen & Heath D-Live at FOH to match specs of the headliners, with an Avid Live Sound S6L-24C at monitors. Microphones were a selection of our Shure wired and wireless, Telefunken and Sennheiser.

For lighting we provided a MA3 Light, Robe Spiiders and Mac Quantum Profiles, our Elation Fuze Z120's and Dartz360's, and Acme BL200WW2's.

We loved this amazing festival...more kick!

The Christmas season has definitely passed, but here at AEP we're looking back at what was an incredible period. We had Production Managers, Stage Managers and equipment on three theatre seasons concurrently; Woodward Productions' 'A Very Naughty Christmas' at La Boite and Riverside Paramatta, Oscar Production Company's 'Christmas at Southbank' at the South Bank Piazza, and Jacs Entertainment's 'Jingle' at Brisbane Powerhouse.

In what we believe is an Australian first, AEP has deployed a networked Audio system for New Years Eve at Byron Bay that used the AVB/Milan protocol from stagebox to amplifiers.

Says MD/FOH Engineer Jamie Taylor "We pride ourselves on staying at the cutting edge of digital audio, using the advantages of the format to provide the most pristine audio reproduction, and New Years Eve is no different. We're lucky to have clients that know the technical side of the industry, and know the advantages that a fully-digital offering brings. AEP have settled on AVB as it provides the best audio quality while being timing accurate and easy to work with for all our engineers. I've got to say, putting signal through the PA while the client was standing next to me and being able to say 'we haven't even opened the XLR packer yet' was a great feeling. We ran the system all day/night without even a hiccup, but we did have the setup for the amplifiers to fall-back to AES redundancy if it was needed."

AEP provided an Avid Live Sound S6L 24-C equipped with AVB-Milan MLN-192 card and L-Acoustics La4x amplifers (that use AVB-Milan natively). For speakers, we provided L-Acoustics A15's, KS21's, X12 and X8's. AEP also provided lighting and backline hire for the event and Audio/Lighting on the Johnson street stage.

It's monday de-prep day here at AEP!

Over the week we had our Avid Live Sound S6L out with IJS Productions at Good Things Brisbane, our Sennheiser G4 IEM's out with ESL at the City of Gold Coast's Mayor's christmas carols, and our Waves Audio Extreme-C X10 servers and MGB with Brisbane Sound for the entire Good Things Austraian tour with Bring Me The Horizon. Now it's time to give everything a good clean and check before they head out the door for this week's shows.

AEP is proud to have again sponsored Queensland theatre's night of nights, The Matilda awards.

Providing world-class Shure Axient wireless microphones as well as our gorgeous Elation Fuze Z120 washes and Tour Pro LED Beam 50's under the expert control of LD Geoff Squires, the night was visually and audibly stunning.
