🇯🇵 I love the chouna shiage style of Japanese carpentry (finishing a surface with an adze). Had a coffee in a shop in Shinjuku today where the floors, some walls & tables were all finished in this style.

🇯🇵 Visiting an area today that's preserving & showcasing Kabazaiku (crafts made from Cherry bark) & Samurai life. Supposedly the samurai did the Kabazaiku in their 'spare time'. When they weren't being ferocious warriors I guess.
