Hello Uncover readers!

Lucy here, Uncover’s managing editor. It has been a wild few months settling in to being a mother of three and as my maternity leave has come to a close, some tough decisions have had to be made. I have quickly learned what my capabilities are and where my priorities need to be, so to focus on my (very) young family I have decided that my tenure with this wonderful publication needs to come to a close.

This has been a really tough decision as I absolutely adore putting this magazine together for you all and I have put my heart and soul into the pages over the last 7-years. However it is time to let someone else take the lead and to make it their own.

So this is happening!! Next weekend we are closing down Field Street and putting a stage in the middle of it to celebrate some amazing regional live music!! This is a part of the Play on Victoria Series. We are so excited to put this show on! Tickets are available via the link below :)

Music lovers attending Play On will be asked to show they’re fully vaccinated with a COVID-19 digital certificate displayed through the Service Victoria app, Medicare app, or equivalent smartphone wallet. They can also present a printed version of their certificate or immunisation history statement or provide evidence of a valid exemption. Masks will need to be worn.

To my lovely readers, I know this is a really tough time for so many people and businesses, so if there is anything I can do to help using our social platforms, please reach out. ⠀

I just wanted to give a quick update on the magazine. The last 3 lockdowns have unfortunately delayed our production timeline. My wonderful photographers who were on task to complete the last few editorial assignments are, like so many of us, unable to work. Pair that with no childcare and design has also come to a stop. Instead there are a lot of cuddles, movies, and “activities” (AKA big messes) happening in this house. ⠀

I promise I will have a magazine to you as soon as I can! It is absolutely packed with amazing features, showcasing the excellence our region has to offer, despite a pandemic! I cannot wait for you all to read. ⠀

The Learmonth Cider Festival, scheduled for today, has been cancelled at the last minute, which is devastating for the organisers.

But our friends at Café Sidra and Peter Ford Catering have done a magnificent “pivot”, and we are asking Ballarat to help them out.

For today only, you can indulge in fresh Peter Ford Porchetta and 321 Cider specials.

Time: 5pm-7pm

Where: Pick up only from Peter Ford Catering, 21 College St, Wendouree.

Do you live near your family? Or have you moved to be closer to them? 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 I have my parents, in-laws, siblings and TONS of extended family within a 5 minute drive (got to love Buninyong) and I LOVE it.

Especially getting to raise my girls with their cousins and they are always ridiculously spoiled by the Grandparents (free babysitting is also a bonus 😉).

Our winter mag explored the surge of multigenerational living in collaboration with Integra Group.
