Today was a top time as Xyynot Drifting had called-out the lads from Hackshop Garage to meet at Heathcote Park Raceway with two cars today.
Well Mackie stomped an oh so fresh Hector the HQ into the tens and while he'd assumed a potential 15 for Patsy the wagon well she dipped straight into 14.2 territory ending with a 14.1 I believe.

Nathan swapped to drag radials after the sketchy weather had deemed necessary a more appropriate tyre for the drive from Sunbury and PBd deeper into the tens on pass one.

Michael worked hard at launching his thongslappered and 5 peggered HQ with a 'do burnout or not do burnout' pondering.

As for this guy and dear GnashR, well first run I launched her too chilly for a spluttering leave and beyond that found here falling on her face at top of second. While initially it seemed to be starving for fuel, I later found the dizzy clampage way loose and reckon the timing had shifted. My highlight was a lowly 15.3 but the lads say she sounded sweet doing it.

It's a long way from the 13.something I've my heart set on and I didn't get around to throwing the 14" drag radials on either which should liven her up a touch.

BEARD REPORTING πŸ§™β€β™‚οΈ

I've just landed back in 'rat city after an absolutely amazing weekend at the the HK HT HG Holden Nationals - Victoria - 10th - 13th Nov - 2023 and am completely overwhelmed by the incredible people I've spent time with.

What started as a casual conversation with the superstars Cherie and David Smith at Patina Breakdown last year, within minutes, became an official invitation for me to attend the Nationals, with access to entire event, to represent and then report back to our Neverl8 Crew.

Where every car entered in the event was from the HK-HG Holden collaborative I was offered the freedom to just slot in with GnashR;my rowdy fat girl.

Friday night as I hit the roundabout which leads to Point Lonsdale2 I spotted my first magnificent entrant in a Premier Wagon. In a mind-numbing mid-navy blue (tonight I watched the owner awarded with a swag of trophies), I was torn back to '89 and memories of a very familiar ride owned by a dear and now departed mate. RIP Blakey ya cheeky f**ken pixie πŸ˜ͺ

As rolled down the esplanade tough cars were lining the street and as I spotted the familiar, mileage record breaking, black with red paintouts, canopy and more of HK Bloke aka Adrian Peacock, I looked left to spot a beaming guy striding towards the car.

I tossed all the crap from the front seat over the back and he threw the door open and jumped in and as I pulled away he said 'Do you know who I am?' I responded with 'Well if you're not Adrian f**ken Peacock then I've made a dreadful blew.

I've been following this great bloke's journey as he's passionately listened to our podcast while providing great feedback and after so much social media interaction over two or three years, damn it felt good to meet.
From giving the copilot seat to the carer of a special needs client on the night said client was having his thirtieth birthday, to then be given the chance to have birthday boy Tony in the passenger seat for an exuberant roll back to Queenscliff from Geelong, to arriving early Saturday to see podcast Regular Simon Clark and his Son Brock, with so many busy Holden HKTG members, launch into the set up for Saturday's Show and Shine.

I parked the Nash just off the side of the Show to bask in the uninterrupted view of the marque after being told I could park anywhere i wanted. As the day stretched into movie night and a few relaxing ales were downed, I felt like part of the family to so many entrants. Then Dan pulled up in his HK to announce himself as a listener and follower. Well we shot the s**t for a few hours with some p**s funny anecdotes created and I met another HG Kinga driving new bro and spoke into the wee hours. This story is long and the weekend was jam-packed.

I caught up with a pair of legendary Ballarat brothers and a drag challenge hero in his Crusty Torana. The Motorkhana today was a top time and then five of us with three cars cruised about the coast and sat for an early tea before heading to tonight's trophy presentations and auction to raise funds for Horsham based WACK charity spear-headed by Clarky and friends. Tommorow the racing entrants will be cruising the Great Ocean Road but alas I'm home for the work push tomorrow.

I pushed my phone towards many great people and caught some top notch banter, coming to Roaming Moses not too far off. For now though I'm turning. To ever wonderful person I drank with, dined with, drove with or rolled the gymkhana with, thank you so much for allowing to hang out. Your friend, Moses
