"LOUISE SAXTON cut & pinned"

Authors: Prof. Catherine Bell, Louise Saxton, Carol Schwartz AO, Jason Smith

Many of us know Louise's works ♥ - the exhibition "Reclaiming the Past: Works by Louise Saxton" appearing in Textile Fibre Forum Magazine issue 149, as well as a wonderful article written by Louise in issue 113 about her works in reclaimed textiles.

The book, "LOUISE SAXTON cut & pinned", reflects Louise's journey as an artist who first trained in painting and printmaking and, after a brief time working with other discarded domestic materials, found herself captivated by, and committed to reimagining the needlework of others.

A full book review appears in the forthcoming March issue of Embellish Magazine.

This book is available directly from Louise at https://www.louisesaxton.com/monograph as well as good book stores.

"A Kaleidoscope of Goldwork Butterflies"

This beautiful book, from Alison Cole, began almost by accident and has come to symbolise so much more.

This book has a limited print run (1514 numbered books), with 50% of the cover price being donated to NORSE (New Onset Refractory Status Epilepticus) research in the hope that research will prevent other families from going through the hell Alison's has experienced. This book may be purchased from Alison at www.alisoncoleembroidery.com.au

Please consider helping support this research. At the same time, you will be receiving a beautiful, instructional book to create your own butterflies.

A full book review appears in the forthcoming March issue of Embellish Magazine.
