2025 COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT!

Christmas has come early GCNC family! We are incredibly excited to announce that Leigh Clough (née Waddington) has been appointed our Senior 1 head coach for season 2025. Leigh joins us with a wealth of netball knowledge and an impressive career under her belt in high performance environments. She was a part of the 2013 Thunderbirds premiership team, giving her a valuable insight into building a strong team environment and a winning mentality. We have no doubt she is going to continue adding to the impressive culture that her predecessor Scott Waddington has created.

Speaking of Scott, no one needs to worry! After successfully securing the 2024 Senior 1 premiership in his second year in charge, Scott felt that the time was right to step down from this role to ensure the Senior 1s continue to grow and learn with a fresh voice and ideas. He won’t be going far though! He will continue to assist Leigh and the Senior 1s while taking over the head coaching role of our Senior 2 team. We can not thank Scott enough for the work he did with our Senior 1s and bringing that premiership cup home! The time and effort Scott has put into our senior and junior players over the last few years is setting our club up for long term success and we look forward to seeing this continue.
